The following is a case study for Anamalia, Kokomalu and Eloni, a family that has been torn apart due to the aggressive nature of Eloni, who has physically abused his younger brother, has been suspended from school temporarily for attempting to stab a fellow classmate and is showing signs of substance abuse. Eloni has been placed in foster care and the family has been referred to counseling. During Eloni’s counseling sessions it was discovered that he was abused by his previous step-father and is showing signs of PTSD. Impact It has been shown that children that are placed in foster care or torn from their families experience a lack of trust for their parents.

The creator of the Bowenian Therapy was Murray Bowen. The Bowenian therapy is somewhat like the Structural Family Theory because the both of them have steps that correlate together.
It highlights how foster children in the system need certain treatments inside of a home because of issues. The book explains how children with behavioral/emotional disorders often get moved from foster home to foster home. They are less likely to be put into a placement where they are guarenteed a long placement. It examines how foster parents are the primary agents of healing and chage in the life of a foster child. It also presents foster parents with new ways to handle foster children.
SPARCS does not directly provide services to parents, however if foster families and youths are open to participating, the program model can be implemented with parental involvement as part of multifamily group therapy (CEBC, 2006). In a group, families can learn that they are not alone in their struggles and that alone can be very empowering. However, as foster-care youth children often have adverse or nonexistent relationships with their foster-parents, this may be difficult. Especially since placements can change at anytime. Therefore, it is important to realize the barriers associated with delivering services within the child welfare system.
The Bowenian family therapy helps me understand my family and myself better. Two of the main terms in Bowenian family therapy are differentiation and fusion. Understanding these to terms is important to know how an individual relates with his or her family. Based on an individual’s differentiation or fusion they will interact in the family differently and can become entangled in triangular relationships that can lead to anxiety.

The sculpture itself has an interesting design in which all of the Dancing Figures are touching each other and it seems as if the figures are marching and dancing in order.
