A film or a movie is one of the forms of art that influence people a lot. Films are usually made for entertainment but it is also made to inform the mass and for the mass (Delmestri, 2005). Throughout the years, people have been enjoying watching films, and in these moving pictures actors are portraying different characters in different stories. Casting famous actors have significance in a film (Wallace, 1993) but what are the effects of the famous actors in the success of a film? Will a famous or non-famous actor have a minimal effect in a success of a film? Famous actors may attract potential viewers or may act as repellant to those who don’t like them. Since famous actors usually have high talent fees, does paying for their services add to the risk of losing money or is it a price that is worth paying for?

The researchers have gathered their data through interviews and review of related literature. They (researchers) also used a sample breakdown of a film budget to give an overview of what the producers and the directors prioritize when it comes to their expenses. The researchers also explain key factors that affect consumer decision making in cinema partially. The research typically accounts for the notion that studios may employ bigger famous actors for movies that are expected to generate higher revenues or that the most powerful famous actors may be able to choose the most promising
