Chapter 2 – Literature review

This chapter reviews the relevant literature that seeks to answer research objectives
Objective 1: To identify and explore the possibility of children clothing with new fashion accessories.
Objective 2: To find the particular customers (wholesalers and retailers) who would be selling the products in their stores.
Objective 3: To develop a research work which will help in identifying the basis and presumptions for marketing of these goods.

2.1 Fashion Accessories

According to Bellini , Fashion accessories are decorative items that supplement one 's garment. Fashion accessories add colour, style and class to an outfit, and create a certain look, but they may also have practical functions. Accessories help highlight a dress or apparel. They can also help to hide a weakness of a dress.

2.1.1 Uses of Fashion Accessories

According to the Textile fashion study, fashion accessories are used as a value addition on the garments. Fabric is the basic material in garment manufacturing. Except fabric of garment, the other materials are known as Fashion garment accessories. These have to be chosen in such a way that they complement the outer fabric both aesthetically, in terms of decoration, and practically, in terms of ensuring that the garment performs as expected in its intended end use.
