Male & Female Devine
The Male and Female Devine’s myths are intriguing. The reader’s mental strength and capacity will be tested and compromised after researching the various beliefs from around the world. The reader is forced and driven to question their beliefs, cultural background, and ancestors.
I’m a Christian and therefore, I believe the Female Devine, was introduced after the Male Devine “Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being” (The Bible Genesis 2:7).According to this scripture Adam was the first man created, but before Adam there was of course God, whom is male. Adam was given power over the sea, animals and the land. He had power and

God sends his son, Jesus to lead the world to righteousness and die for their sins. Jesus is anointing and granted magnificent power and control, but only under God’s authority. Kings and Judges is another Male Devine characteristic. God punishes King David by killing his baby boy for committing adultery. God is the ultimate King and David was ordained King by God, but he was judge by God and punished for his sin. The third Male Devine archetype is Savior and Sages. Jesus is the savior for the people of the worlds according to Christianity. He plays in a role designed by the father, God to save the world from sin and destruction. God is also feared and it is known that he can condemn people to hell in the Christianity faith. Individuals whom believe in God, the farther are frightened of him therefore, they aim to obey him and live out a sin free life. The final characteristic is Trickster, in the Christianity culture Satan is known for his tricky ways, lies and deceit. He has many faces and is known to be loose on earth, presently. Satan comes in many forms and can be unrecognizable.
The Male Devine is unique and interesting. After researching the characteristics and different cultures myths, the reader can fully grasp why it is difficult to be a male alive on earth. The Male not only has power, but they are expected to succeed and lead the
To be able to talk about heroes, gender, and Campbell’s The Hero’s Journey, there needs to be a separation between the journey to become a hero and the plot of the story. Although an entire story can be solely based on “The Hero’s Journey,” it’s not limited to the journey. How events play out and character development among other things are apart from what Campbell describes. The journey he describes stays the same regardless of the gender of the protagonist. Gender can only affect the plot itself depending on type of world that is built.
Kings and Gods Babylonian and Assyrian laws serve as the establishment of what we know as law today. Their primitive faculties of equity set up frameworks of force in which people were taken a gander at as divine beings and seen as powerful vessels to the soul world. Mesopotamia got to be one of the pioneers in religion being absorbed in legislative issues. Despite the fact that, the ruler was seen as a divine being himself, individuals saw the lord as the nearest being to their lords of love. In the wake of being given so much power and obligation, the dependability of the lord comes into inquiry.
For example, many people view satan as a demonic fallen angel. However, in Dante's inferno, Satan is described as, “When I beheld three faces on his head! The one in front, and that vermilion was; Two were the others, that were joined with this above the middle part of either shoulder, and they were joined together at the chest.” (Canto XXXIV Line. 40)
All living creatures were created before mankind, written in Genesis 1:25-26 by Priestly Source, then, found in Genesis 2:7 and 19 by Jahwist Source, mankind is created first followed by all other living creates. Specific tasks were accomplished on specific days, in Genesis 1:11-13 by the Priestly Source, but there is no specific order of what was created or the days that they were created on, found in Genesis 2:9 by the Jahwist Source. The order of creation is explained as heaven, the Earth, plants, animals, man and woman, from Genesis 1:1-28 by the Priestly Source.
In The Devil and Tom Walker the author portrays archetypes in the characters Tom Walker, Mrs. Walker, and the Devil. Initially, archetypes can be found in Tom Walker. The archetype that Tom portrays is that of greed. The narrator explains, “… there once lived near this place a meagre miserly fellow of the name of Tom Walker.” (Irving online).
Chivalric romances are often centered upon the efforts of gallant knights seeking to achieve a concept known as “true knighthood” which involves embarking on quests or adventures to obtain honor, love, and Christian virtue. The brave knights of these stories are met with many obstacles to overcome, commonly in regards to rescuing or protecting a lady. In other words, the typical role of women in this period is that of the damsel in distress or a helpless, dependent lady in need of a hero. However, the stories of Chrétien de Troyes’ Yvain, the Knight of the Lion and Friedrich Heinrich Karl La Motte-Fouqué’s The Magic Ring strays from the typical role of women as the damsel in distress.
Creation myths are types of narratives that cultures or groups throughout time use to explain how the world as we know it began or how it became what they knew of it back in their time. With various groups in society throughout time we are now able to look back at several different aspects and outlooks through these creation myths that still live in some way, shape, or form. However, the creation myths we observe in the class have evidence that dates back to the time of their telling whether it be through text or hieroglyphs. With several ways to observe these creation myths an interesting way would be by comparing and contrasting the views and beliefs held by groups through time and how they shift. A genuinely intriguing topic of discussion is the role of women in the creation myths and
Jesus Christ is a man who has baffled and transformed the new age with his life and legacy. The question arose if He is just a man? Many speculated that He was just a prophet who was profoundly inspired with scriptural revelation. The truth is that He actually is the Son of God and everything he did reflected that of the Father, the
The three categories Mark talks of the Son of Man concept are: the earthly Son of Man who serves on earth, seeks the lost and forgives sin; the suffering son of man who must suffer and die, giving His life for sinners; and the Eschatological Son of Man who reigns in glory at the right hand of His father forever with the angels. In the Book of Ezekiel Jesus is referred to the Son of Man to depict His human nature on earth. In Daniel, the Son of Man appears as a celestial being with high authority. In the Book of I Enoch the Son of Man is viewed as the one who will pass judgment to the
Trifles by Susan Glaspell opens when the County Attorney says, “Come up to the fire, ladies (1156).” Obediently, the women follow even though they are not cold. This is the first instance where the role of masculinity is shown in the play. Both the men and women are present in the same house and working on the same case.
He also explains how the world can change men and how values and ideas change men. People fear these changes are affecting the society and lives of other people that they show a bad image to what manhood looks like. Some men do not mind these changes while men do. In some parts of the article, the author talks about the changes in men and how it is
In the 16th century, not only in England but also almost in all the countries, all the families were “under” the patriarchal society. A patriarchy, from the ancient Greek patriarches, was a society where power was held by and passed down through the elder males. When modern historians and sociologists describe a "patriarchal society," they mean that men hold the positions of power: head of the family unit, leaders of social groups, boss in the workplace and heads of government. Unfortunately, this fact still exists, even today in the 21st century in many countries, especially in the Muslim countries where women have restricted rights. Patriarchal society, manhood, and the sense of masculinity, in my opinion, raise two main issues: the issue
It’s impossible to deny how far the desire for a male child has spread throughout the world, so there are great expectations associated with male births. One of the popular ones being that one day the child will grow up to succeed his father, and take care of the household. But does the upbringing of men in this culture really help them? Analyzing a common male child growing up, from the

Today we are continuing our look at the character aspects of Jesus in Isaiah chapter nine. Last week, I wrote about Wonderful Counselor. This week I’m sharing the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace. One fact we need to remember is these are characteristics of God that Jesus has.
