Everyone uses social media. People think that social media is only with mobile devices, but that is not true. There are multiple types of social media such as the social networks, photo or video sharing, bookmarking, news station and blogs. The social media platform is incredible but it can also be terrible because most of the time bullying originates on social media. For example, bullying tends to take place online. The movie “Cyberbully” is about a teenage girl who was harassed on social media. The bullying on social media went viral on her school campus and other students found out. This made it hard for her to be an average teenager. Later on in the movie, she attempted to take her own life. She felt the best way to handle the situation was to commit suicide. In this case, a suicide attempt was used as a coping mechanism. Fortunately, the suicide attempt was unsuccessful and the girl ended up going to therapy. In 2013 renowned rapper Waka Flocka Flame younger brother Kayo Redd committed suicide. The bullying he received on social media was about his mom Debra Antney being a transgender person. The attention Kayo received across the world because of his mother and brother he was horrifying. There were many hurtful and mean comments that led Kayo to feel his only way to escape the pain was to take his own life.
