It would allow me to learn from my peers of different cultures and work with them so that we can help one another economically and socially. Also because of Babson different cultures and work with them so that we can help one another economically and socially. Also Babson’s business fundamentals preparation, but also the rugged/actionable/pragmatic philosophy that immediately applies to business in the real word. This is why Babson is my top
The first time I have heard of the Chick-fil-A Franchise Opportunity was in the discussion about good opportunities of starting business in the Facebook community. My interest in different business opportunities to bring a change to my life prompted me to check what Chick-fil-A Franchise could offer to a motivated individual committed to developing one’s own business and making it successful entrepreneurships experience. I have studied a list of the top-ranking global franchises, their profiles and the industries they operate in. The American Franchisee Association was also a helpful resource for learning more about franchise opportunities. Out of the one hundred companies and corporations listed, eight represent franchises that are
During the interview she only gave few worded answers and a few sentences here and there. This made me wonder what years of college had led to for my mother Wyonette. Wyonette’s college experience began when she was 24 years old. My mother chose UH Maui because in quote “...it was close to home, also the best value.” she said. When I asked her what she majored in and why she said in quote “I chose to major in business because it would be a useful degree that I could use in different aspects in my life.” Asking Wyonette what motivated her to attend college she said in quote “I wanted a better life for myself and my kids.
I then want to continue my education by earning a Masters in Business Administration. My long-term career goals include having my own successful small business and multiplying my business into multiple locations. I have a strong passion for interior design and fashion and plan to use my business degree along with my talent for design and create a platform that I can pass along to my
These members are valuable resources to help starting education majors, such as myself, understand the career field, give valuable tips, and even offer job opportunities in the community. Apart from these organizations my pathway for achieving a doctorate in the field is in a shorter amount of time then the program offers. My continuous efforts in schooling over the summer and during high school have put me ahead in the education program in my college. This allows me to take Masters Courses my sophomore year of college. With these great academic advancements, I am able to graduate early with a higher degree and go into the work force at a younger
Growing Professionally My view of professionalism when I was first starting my career after graduating from college was the typical business-attired yuppie trying to get her place in the huge world called “work.” First impression lasts, I thought. So why not try to make that impression without even saying a word. That very eager and yuppie view I’ve had then expanded as I inched my way through the working world. Now that I’ve made the impression, it’s time to make people know that I’m here. All the new things I’ve learned and the adjustments I’ve had to make with those people I’ve worked with contributed to what I’ve brought with me to MBPS.
The reasons why I am attending college Personally, I decided to go to the college because my parents always taught me that a higher-education could offer me a better life. I attended an extraordinary high school in Italy but I wanted to continue my education here in Miami. I am attending college because I will get an excellent job and most like it make more money when I graduate, I will build more knowledge and skills and finally I will have the college experience and make more friends. Hearing wonderful things about the college and the numerous success stories made it easy for me to choose Miami-Dade college. First of all, coming from Europe, I understand how difficult looking for a job can be after college, especially with a high unemployment rate like the current one in this country.
Attending college will show my dad that his hard work is going to pay off and know that I succeeded because he was there since day one. Another person who has influenced me to go to college is my AVID (Advanced Via Individual Determination) teacher, that since junior year of high school, has been there through SAT/ACT testing, in my college application process. She has been someone to motivate more to attend college because she sees potential in every single student, no matter what circumstance they are in. Going to The University of Texas at Arlington would be a form of payment to her for dedicating her time and
This summer I will be working and taking Accounting I at Tarrant Community College. I hope to travel the second part of summer to either Africa or Canada to visit family. Sophomore year I want to broaden my horizons and create stronger bonds than this year. I want to gain relevant work experience; landing an internship for a corporation or a hospital would be amazing. The second goal I want to set for the upcoming school year is to get closer with my Terry family, especially the new baby Terry’s.
Interning at DFCS has most certainly impacted my personal, professional, and academic goals. Before my internship, I knew I wanted to pursue my Master of Social Work after graduation and had some ideas about potential careers within the social work realm. My internship with DFCS has truly solidified my desire to pursue an MSW. While I have enjoyed my placement at DFCS, the internship has shown me that I don’t think DFCS is necessarily the agency I would like to work with after graduating with my masters. My work with DFCS (and seeing how many of our clients struggle with substance abuse) has solidified my thoughts that I would like to one day work as a substance abuse and mental health counselor.
For my senior project I chose to job shadow at Joy Global. When I was deciding who and what jobs to shadow I chose a few that interested me and that I thought I could see myself majoring in, at college. I wasn 't just doing these shadows to get them out of the way and tell myself, good I 'm glad I got those out of the way. Instead, I thought that it was a great idea to get a hands on experience of some jobs that I was interested in and get to know what it’s like to have a full-time job and see what the average work day consists of. The shadows I went on consisted of: Mary Norris, who is an Infrastructure Analyst, Jeff Snyder, a IT Engineer, and Cheyne Kunselman, an Engineering Systems Analyst.
The TypeFocus assignment allowed me to see what occupations would or should interest me, and the funny thing about it is; it 's really close to my actual occupation. At this time I am 40 years old and back in school. Graduating from College will help me further my career, and will open opportunities for advancement, within the company I currently work for. My current position is in an office setting, working with billing, arranging fuel transportation, and leading coworkers throughout our office with their daily task, and also training new employees. I am perusing a degree in Business Management which will support my role in training and leading.
John Zimmerman has continuously instilled in his students the importance of money management and personal finance. My initial interest in the business field as a whole grew into a career option for myself after learning more from Mr. Zimmerman’s classes. One point that he mentioned will definitely stick with me into the future. As a young man, I have the advantage of time. The money that I invest and save now will grow exponentially, and the long term returns will enable me to establish flexible spending, retirement, and more investment funds.
I get to work with GIS programs and businesses in the community. I have had the opportunity to work with business owners and attend meetings that help grow the city. I am committed to someday working for a local government, using my public administration degree. I understand the importance of local government and I want to attend grad school to obtain the tools to make me the best employee the city
