My First Day Thoughts, By Daniel
I was looking forward to high school, I wasn’t as nervous as other people because I very easy going and was excited about a fresh start. Primary school was quite easy because you didn’t need to constantly move around the school, I could already see how high school was going to be a bit harder. I thought it was going to be super stressful but it wasn’t quite what I thought it would be like though.
My preparation for high school wasn’t as hard as I thought, all I needed was a pencil case and a couple of blue pens. I bought my uniform a couple of weeks before school ended last year.
On the first day of school, I was woken up by the relaxing sound of my alarm which I set a day prior. I got up and got dressed in

We talked and ate for a little bit until deciding to play handball. Handball was a game my friends and I enjoyed playing in primary school. After playing for 2 minutes two year 12s asked if they could play, we let them play so we had enough people to play foursquare. They played for 5 minutes until leaving us, soon after the bell rang. We headed back to our homegroup and stayed there until we needed to go to our forth lesson at 12 pm. Our fourth lesson was Japanese, it was quite enjoyable because the Japanese teacher Ms Yonehara is very funny. After Japanese was lunchtime, at lunch my friends and I once again met up and talked until deciding to go to the library. In the library, we borrowed books, talked and read our books. After lunch, our final subjects of the day were PE and English. In PE we played a game called four-way cricket, there is one baller in the middle who throws the ball to one of four batters. Once a batter hits the ball it is a race against time, the batters need to run to the next stump. But the fielders need to get the ball back the baller as fast as possible. In English, we started a writing task named “First Day Thoughts” which is a recount about our first day and experiences of high
As I was getting ready for school, I told myself, "I 'm so excited to finally go to school! I can 't wait to get there! I bet it 's going to be the best thing ever!" Once I finally arrive to school, I realize what it is actually like. My teacher, Miss Fisher, doesn 't seem to like that I already know how to read.
When coming to Arcadia High School I didn’t know what to feel like, would I say frightened, worried, or energized? For this reason I decided that I felt confused. I was a bit stressed at the thought of getting bad grades. I entered school and saw what looked like a beehive of people going where they needed to go. So like many freshmen on their first day I got lost looking for my first class, it was such a big school and many of the halls weren’t even in alphabetical order.
At 5:45 AM the alarm on my phone blared some generic default tone that I had never gotten around to changing. This was probably the earliest I’ve ever gotten up in my entire life. I groggily removed myself from the pile of blankets on the floor that I had been sleeping in and headed for the shower, brushed my teeth, washed my face and searched my near empty closet for something to wear on my first day of school. Although I was absolutely exhausted and there was yet to be any furniture in my room, I was thrilled to be transferring to Pattonville High School in midst of my junior year and living in a bigger house in a better community.
Returning to college has been an exciting and terrifying decision for me. My husband has encouraged me for 1-2 years, but my fear of failure overwhelmed me and kept me from pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree. I wasn’t even sure what I wanted to pursue. I’m now on this journey and ready for whatever it is that God has planned for me. I have worked hard encouraged my three kids as they transitioned their way through elementary school through middle school and on to high school and graduation.
My First Day of 6th Grade Noises filled the crowd with excitement in Cupertino Middle School. It was the first day of 6th grade. I was feeling nervous. Sweat was forthcoming down my face very slowly. I had never been in such a huge school with lots of students.
and I had breakfast at Steak and Shake. I redirected the youth twice. Alex was blowing the paper from the straw onto the table and he was yawning without covering his mouth. After the redirection, Alex practiced good table manners. We went to the book store to practice social interactions and enjoy some books.
I played basketball with my cousins Bradley and Shane, we played for about 30 min. Then we went inside and ate, we had, rolls, chicken, potatoes, beans and stuffing. After that we talked and then went
The first day of school was right around the corner, not knowing
On August 8, 2012 it was my first day of school at McEwen High School. I was very nervous and scared. The school was very small and everyone knew each other. A new student was a big deal, they want to know all your business.
My journey consisted of many good and bad times, and throughout the years I discovered my strengths and weaknesses. I made new friends, took on different tests, accomplished many things. My first year was my most difficult, being new to the school, but as the years went by, school became a more fun experience for me. Knowing that the 4 years of high school was a journey for me, I was able to brace myself for the difficult times to come and the rewards I was going to receive. At the end of the journey, I had gained a lot from these 4 years, but it also prepared me for my next journey, my journey through university.
The first day of middle school for me was both terrifying and exciting. I made a lot of new friends within the year. I remember the first day very well. I had woke up at 5;30 a.m. I was extremely tired.
High school has impacted my life in so many ways. High School taught me so many things, from personal relationships to creating a relationship with my education. As a freshman, I made a huge amount of mistakes and I regret doing foolish things, but I’ve realized, I was only maturing into the young adult I am today. Freshman year, I was out of focus and I was only trying to find myself. I would also prioritize other things and ignore my parent’s advice, where they would tell me to focus in school and give it my full attention.
On the bus ride home, I thought about my first day of high school. I was still astounded by the fact that I could finally call myself a 9th grader. I thought about all of the potential things that I would accomplish in the next year. I thought about how different I would be at the end of my high school career. From my first day experience, I was excited for what this new school would bring to
The past four years of my life hold both my highest of highs and my lowest of lows. High school can be a very awkward time period in a person’s life. Four years ago, I made the intimidating switch from St. Mary’s School to Algoma High School. There were certain aspects of high school which made me nervous, but academics was not one of them. I learned how to be a responsible student in my earlier years, and school had always come relatively easy to me.
My first day of high school as a freshmen in a new level of education Is what I was thinking when I woke from slumber that morning in bed. Stepping foot on the campus wasn’t even the beginning, taking the school bus in the morning is where the first taste of being a freshmen and actually starting and being an high school student. I started to get really nervous and a sense of reality hit me. Walking towards the bus stop all I see is a huge group of high school students waiting around for the bus, calm and cool as I try to stay to be I approach the waiting area not knowing what to I’m getting into.
