Respect of the environment of the industry has a direct impact on the competitiveness of the strategic enterprises and earn higher yields than the average. The intensity of competition in the industry and potential benefits of the industry are the functions of the five forces of competition, such as the threat of new entrants into the market, negotiating capacities of the suppliers of the negotiating position of the customers, threats of alternatives and the intensity of rivalry between competitors (Hanson, D., Hitt, M., Ireland, R. D., & Hoskisson, R. E., 2011, p.48). Model of five forces are placed to act as a framework for the analysis of the industry and the development of commercial strategies. There are five different types of forces that influence the intensity of competition, shows a picture of the attraction and the profitability of a market. With the help of my assessment of Nestlé and its position in the industry, I am going to apply the model of the five forces to the companies.
