I want to accomplish many thing through out my life, but the biggest accomplishment I want is to help the people who have lost or don 't have a family to take care of them. Sometimes, kids are left alone because their parents couldn 't take care of them, or they had to go find better jobs to help with their living conditions. In many places they have very bad living conditions, and the people who live there try to leave, but sometimes they can 't take every one they love and that could cause them to loose those people. Homeless people have poor living conditions because they can 't afford some place or they might be kids that can 't find anywhere to stay. Kids and adults are often left alone or kicked out of there homes.
He came to America for a new life with his dad who he had never met. While in “Letter to a Young Refugee from Another” by Andrew Lam, Mr.Lam writes to a young refugee, who may be in the same situation as he, how to survive and never give up hope. Both these men tell their stories to educate people on the problems that come with being a refugee. What would a person do if they lost everything and had to start a new life in a new country? To begin, Americans have struggled with accepting refugees from other countries into their homeland.

What do you do when charitable organizations call you asking for money? Do you donate money to the organization or do you ignore it? Peter Singer would argue that many people ignore it, and in 1999 he wrote the article “The Singer Solution to World Poverty” where he argues “that each one of us with wealth surplus to his or her essential needs should be giving most of it to help people suffering poverty so dire as to be life-threatening.” Singer introduces his article with two exceptionally different examples: a woman who saved a child’s life and a man who killed a child to save his Bugatti. Secondly, he proposes how much money would be required to save a child from starvation, $200, and explains why a majority people do not give even though $200 is not actually that much money.
Also people leaving prison or mental health institutions with nowhere to go to on their release/discharge can end up homeless. Services need to ensure that when people are leaving institutional care that they have a place to go. Relationship Causes: This can include an abusive relationship or family breakdown. Either way, one or more people may need to leave the home and may have nowhere to go. Death in a family can also be a cause of homelessness as the person may not be able to afford accommodation on one income.

Throughout the United States, the amount of homeless people is gradually increasing as the years go by. Roughly, a half million people are living on the streets, in cars, homeless shelters, or in transitional housing. Many people who are homeless lack one important thing: a job with a steady income. There are numerous arguments as to why these people do not obtain these jobs, reasons such as not having an address for applications or not being able to look presentable to the public on duty. For whatever the reason may be, these people need an immense amount of guidance and support available from their community that surrounds them.
What happened that they ended living on the streets? ... When I decided to major in Social Work I had a passion to learn, help and work with the homeless. But, then I realize that is not only “helping” it’s providing them with the proper resources that they need assistance with and also making sure they want the assistance. Essay on The Homeless Introduction to Human Resources Columbia college By Kawana Roberts The issue of contemporary homelessness has took a huge shift from the common perception of homeless people. I am witnessing a shift from the image of ‘homelessness’ being a physically dirty, pan handling, poor, uneducated individual who does not have a physical home for shelter. Initially, I failed to recognize that ‘homelessness’ can be a temporary state on can live in. Not all homeless people are homeless by “choice”, sometimes people are homeless by “force”.
