“Homeless” is a word used to describe countless of different kinds of people with different problems that are without homes. Being homeless is an enormous problem in the United States. When was the last time you seen a homeless person in the streets? Did you stop and assist? As in giving them food, clothes, or money? You can drive anywhere in a city and identify a homeless person or people living in cardboard boxes or up under a bridge holding up a sign saying they need food as well as money. Another way of the various ways of helping the homeless is by teaching to and about the homeless. “Tutor homeless children - A tutor can make all the difference. Just having adult attention can spur children to do their best. Many programs exist in shelters, transitional housing programs, and schools that require interested volunteers. Getting them an education will help them out. They would most likely get jobs that pay well. “Teach about the homeless - If you do volunteer work with the homeless, you can become an enthusiast and extend your enthusiasm to others.
