There are many characteristics and personality traits that play a role in a specific jobs. For a travel nurse there are a lot of different traits that you should have and or consider. Each characteristic I 'm going to talk about are traits that I have that I think are strong/fitting qualities of a travel nurse. #1 Someone who loves challenges. These nurses work with people who are in pain.

In studying Registered Nursing one will find that they have to be compassionate and want to care for others. Registered Nurses assist physicians with suffering patients of any medical condition. They help to decide the patient’s medicine, treatment, recovery, and educate the them and their families on post-medical treatment. They need to have bedside manner, and be able to prepare patients for surgery. Registered Nursing careers range anywhere from critical care, oncology, mental health, to an everyday school nurse.

I am in my third year of nursing and I am currently working in a hospital on an Orthopedic Neurological Trauma Unit. I collaborate with patients to identify the prominent health issues they are experiencing and advocate to ensure the care they receive is the most effective for their healing process. Patient interaction, learning new skills and evidence based practice, and being hands on with patient care are the benefits of my job that I enjoy the most. My Future Career, Nurse Practitioner A nurse practitioner is a nurse with a graduate degree in advanced practice nursing. When I was little I always said I wanted to become a nurse practitioner. It was something about being able to help patients overcome their illnesses that interested me the most.

For over fifteen years I have enjoyed being an LPN. Working in nursing homes taught me to how to patience and how to use my knowledge to help my patients to the best of my ability. My time as an alcohol and drug rehabilitation nurse helped me to appreciate the courage it takes to admit to a problem, ask for help and the strength it takes to work to get better. Working in a hospital taught me to how to work in a fast paced setting while keeping my sanity intact.

I have always, like my dad, wanted to major in something in the medical field. Another reason why I want to become a nurse practitioner is that I have always had a passion about helping others. With this job I can communicate with the patients in their times of intense physical and mental sufferings. For example, If my patients are scared of getting a surgery, I could educate them that surgery is not always a bad choice. I would explain the procedure of the operation in a way that they could fully comprehend.

There are many jobs and fields in the healthcare career. Some people may want to be a Oncologist, Gynecologist, Neurosurgeon, Registered Nurse, or a Certified Nursing Assistant. Every person has a different passion and reason they want to be what they want to be. While some people may want to work as a doctor in trauma, I want to become a nurse practitioner and work in some type of pediatric field. Yet, becoming a nurse practitioner is not that simple.

Nurse anesthesists are responisible for keeping their patient pain-free and alive while they are in their care. I think I would do really well as a certified registered nurse anesthesist because I absolutely love helping other people and I believe I would really be a benefit to the hospital I work at and the patients I encounter. A neonatal nurse job is not only to take care of all babies, but primarily they specialize in sick newborns. Also, I am going to start getting paid when I am still doing my schooling because you have to start as a Registered Nurse. I would work to improve my patients and their family’s community and make them feel happy and healthy. They would be able to trust me and feel protected when they are around me to make my job easier. The biggest reason I chose this career is because I love children. I would love to help them and bond with them.

Being a critical care nurse comes along with a lot of different responsibilities and many different things happen during a day on the job. What a day on the job looks like for a critical care nurse would be, checking on the patient's pain levels every hour, monitoring patients for changes in their status, evaluating their vital signs, and being an advocate for the patient and his or hers family. Some critical care nurses work up to twenty hours a day and others just work the day shift or just work a night

Career Goal I have a few career goals such as becoming an ER registered nurse and a nurse practitioner but fist I want to be an ER registered nurse. For a long time now I could just envision myself in the blue scrub running out to the ambulance as the EMT rushed the patient into the hospital. And successfully collaborating with a team of people to save someone's life.
