Role of a flying instructor to instill flight safety
3. Flying instructor by their personal example is role model for their student pilots. Whatever they do, his student will observe and make a standard for him. Good flying basically comes from good flying habit, for example, even sitting in required posture can assist in good flying. in subsequent paragraphs all factors will be discussed which can promote safe flying and can be corrected or taught by flying instructor.
(a) Development of Habit Patterns. It important for the student to establish the habit of observing and relying on flight instruments from the beginning of flight training. It is equally important for the student to learn the feel of the airplane while conducting maneuvers,

Flying by nature seems thrilling to young pilot. But in actual flying is a very serious business. Slight error due to any negligence can cause havoc. It is duty of flying instructor to teach his student the limitation of machine and man. Not only by telling, but also demonstrating him in simulators or any other aid, in which breach of limitation can cause crash. If aircraft have certain limitation, such as Gs, speed, height that should be respected. Similarly, person limitation must also never be ignored. if any individual is not physically fit, he should have courage to say No, rather than persuading. This aspect should be drilled by flying instructor as these are life saver limitations.
(d) Knowledge. Flying instructor must always check his student if his knowledge standard is not up to the mark. Flying knowledge must not only include aircraft system knowledge or emergency procedures, but also general aviation topic that can help him in making good decisions. Trend of morning session, mission briefs, de-briefs are fundamental element for improving knowledge of new pilots, which will definitely enhance his safety in

Flying Instructor must develop habit of listening R/T calls in their students, to enhance Situational Awareness. Rather than telling him instructions in air, he should be briefed well so that In air his more focus should be on listening calls. More he listen calls he will have better SA of other traffic in vicinity, which will definitely enhance safety. Possibly the greatest external resources during flight are air traffic controllers and flight service specialists. ATC can help decrease pilot workload by providing traffic advisories, radar vectors, and assistance in emergency situations. ATC can provide updates on weather, answer questions about airport conditions, and may offer direction-finding assistance. The services provided by ATC can be invaluable in enabling pilots to make informed inflight decisions. Instructors can help new students feel comfortable with ATC by encouraging them to take advantage of services. If students are exposed to ATC as much as possible during training, they feel confident asking controllers to clarify instructions and are better equipped to use ATC as a resource for assistance in unusual circumstances or
Through the use of recorded patterns Gladwell makes the belief of, more or less, seven errors on a plane will result in a crash. Gladwell embraces repetition to present the problem of pilots not communicating consequently making errors of flying a plane “and then another and another and another and another” using this rhetorical structure he presents the number of small errors that have happened that lead to a crash (Gladwell,184). He emphasizes the extent of problems on the plane to create an image of chaos on the plane. The use of anaphora created a feeling of anxiousness as the problem could’ve been prevented “one pilot knows something …one pilot does something wrong” with all the problems that have occurred and the pilot and co-pilot not
High School JROTC Instructors are retired Officers and Noncommissioned Officers carrying decades of military experience, whose responsibility is to teach students character education, student achievement, wellness, leadership, and diversity. In order to become a JROTC instructor, the following questions must be addressed. What prerequisites are there to become an instructor, what additional training is required, what education institutions provides the training, and what is the hiring process? My research to answering these questions will focus on internet searches, governing agency of the JROTC program, and by leveraging local high school JROTC instructors for information. I believe my research will identify that gathering information from
The pilot’s lack of awareness to the situation causes him to commit an error, killing “all 228 passengers and crew members” (90). The sources that he used for all of the evidence, data, and statistics are not current. Most of the sources fall between to 2005
Summary: Chapter 2 Chapter two dives into the concept of learning. As mentioned in the previous chapter, learning is the study of changes in behavior produced by experience, so when studying learning it is vital to examine how events in the environment change an individual’s behavior. Many scientists consider learning to be a natural phenomenon, they make their case based on four assumptions. The first assumption being that natural phenomena’s do not just happen, but instead they are caused as the result of some other event. The second assumption is that causes precede effects.
She is learning where an object is by repetitive actions. 7. What did you learn from this assignment? 3 marks I learned from this assignment that the personality traits that I had growing up really does effect how my children’s personality traits develop. I found it interesting that my Virtual Child is very similar how I was growing up.
(Eye - sight, Ears – sound, etc) 2) Students should be able to take an object in their environment and describe it using relevant senses. ( Pencil: Sight – Bright orange, thin like a stick; Touch – hard, smooth but brittle lead tips) 3) Students should grasp a better understanding for the importance of using sensory detail in order to better convey experiences and objects to their readers. Evidence of Learning: How will you know if your students understand your lesson? I will establish evidence of learning through two methods. First when presenting the lesson, I will ask students to identify on their own bodies which body part matches with which sense.
This accident could have been worst, and if this safety issue is not fixed, in the future an accident like this could
Unfortunately, the opposite can be said. Unsafe supervision, or level three of the HFACS model has four categories; inadequate supervision, defined as the roll of supervisors to provide personnel with the chance of success, with opportunities such as training, leadership and oversight; planning of unsafe operations, referring to operations that can be accepted and different during emergencies, but unacceptable during standard practices; failure to correct known issues, defined as safety deficiencies that are just accepted; supervisor violations, defined as willfully disregarding regulations (Rodrigues & Cusick, 2012). With that said, when the decision was shifted to the PIC, this accident could have been avoided. Unfortunately, the pilot had what the NTSB calls ‘lets-go-ides’, a buildup of impatience, until a pilot doesn’t care what condition the flight will be, he or she just wants to complete their duty day (Bogaert, 2013). Because of his impatience, the PIC provided inadequate supervision to his crew, by placing them into the situation.
I can see if a wing is missing. I can see if there is a hole in the fuselage. My thing is, I’m not going down for something I should have seen (p. 11). Likewise, in Chapter 3, Breaux and Whitaker (2010) discuss the importance of maintaining clear and consistent rules and policies as a component of effective classroom management.
Teaching assistants work in a variety of situations. Sometimes they work with the whole class, sometimes they work with individuals or groups of children. It is important that whichever role we take on we are fair to other children balancing the support needs of the individual with that of the rest of the group. For example if you are working with a particular group and a child from another group asks for help, you would not necessarily ignore the other children. Focus your behaviour on the group you are allocated but not at the detriment of others.
In order to become a professional pilot you need to know how to become a great leader and a great worker. With a poor work ethic it will either take the person training many years to complete or possible failure. With my new skills
Introduction Learning enables you as an individual, to gain more knowledge about something which you have never learned about. Learning also has to do with past experiences which are influenced by behavioural changes (Weiten, 2016). There are different types of ways to learn; through, classical conditioning, operant conditioning and observational learning which will be discussed and analysed in the essay. Behaviourism Behaviourism is considered one of the main subjects in psychology and the two main people who founded behaviourism were, Burrhus Frederic Skinner, also known as B.F Skinner and Ivan Pavlov who were famous for the work they did on classical and operant conditioning (Moderato & Presti, 2006). According to Moderato and Presti
The role of human factors in aviation accidents cannot be understated. It is crucial to note that instances such as the one discussed could be avoided by ensuring that the flights crew members are at peak performance, both physically and psychologically. Human factors, generally lead to lack of concentration and loss of focus on the core objective. Furthermore, it restricts the person from thinking about other variations or alternatives to the current situation. It is, therefore, advisable that airlines ensure they manage their personnel in a manner that does not predispose them to such
INTRODUCTION Have you ever thought on how people explain about behaviour? How do we know when learning process has occurred? Learning is permanent change that happened in the way of your behaviour acts, arises from experience one’s had gone through. This kind of learning and experience are beneficial for us to adapt with new environment or surrounding (Surbhi, 2018). The most simple form of learning is conditioning which is divided into two categories which are operant conditioning and classical conditioning.
Aircraft accidents Aircraft accidents are the nightmares for both every pilot and aircraft passengers. Accidents can happen even when you least expect it which makes them even mere frightening. The reasons behind an aircraft accident can vary from situation to another but the main reasons are human error or most of the time it is caused by technical issues. In this essay I will address how accidents can happen which means I will in detail examine how accidents can happen which related to human error, technical issues or even accidents are caused by supernatural phenomena. First of all in my essay I will talk about human errors.
