Many researchers tried to investigate all possible elements of food packaging & its impact on consumer’s purchasing decision (e.g. Silayoi & Speece, 20045; Silayoi & Speece, 20077; Butkeviciene, Stravinskiene & Rutelione, 20088), while others focuses on separate elements of food packaging & its impact on consumer’s buying behavior (e.g., Vila & Ampuero, 20079; Madden, Hewett & Roth, 200010; Bloch, 199511). Also plenty of scientific literature on this topic does not provide unanimous answer about impact of packaging elements on the consumer’s buying behavior: range of the results in this research area depends not only on research model constructed & method employed, but on the framework of the research too. The Meatpacking District became a very dangerous area once the automobile was invented because it interfered with the elevated freight trains. Because the trains carried merchandises essential to the lives of most New Yorkers, freight trains were given the right of way to stop wherever they please just to make a delivery. Thus, a ten-car train would be blocking traffic just to deliver the goods. It most likely took longer than 30 minutes to unload the train of the goods to whichever business it delivered to, so the traffic gets overbearingly crowded. Besides the terrible congestion, regular New Yorkers would be in this area because most markets would be located there, so that they could get fresh produce from the local slaughterhouses.

Introduction of the Problem How a community health agency could market healthy food options to African American women with low income? African American women who live in low income communities, are subject more for less supermarkets that are geared to high calorie, and very low nutrients in food. In low income areas, there is a higher amount of marketing for fast food, normally you will see a McDonalds, Burger King, and KFC chicken to name a few (Kovesdy, Csaba P.; Furth, Susan; Zoccali, Carmine,(2017). The problem that we are having in Low-income communities is that because there are low income the people don’t think that they can afford healthy options.. It is cheaper to buy unhealthy foods, because that is what they can afford.

Currently I am volunteering as a worker at our local food pantry downtown. The pantry is called Hope Distribution and is part of the Catholic Charities program sponsored by the Archdiocese of the Catholic Church. I am volunteering here working the front desk keeping tracks on the clients that utilize our pantry. We issue intake forms for new clients and mark the frequency that a client in need comes to the pantry. Here, I also help guide them throughout the pantry assisting them with the items that they are allowed to make choices on.

Everyday food Abstract The article discusses the role of food as an instrument of identity and a channel of contact through cultures. This is discussed drawing from three cases of Italian food culture hybridization spanning from the early 20th century to the first decade of the 2000s: the role of Italian food in Italian-American identity as depicted in Leonardo Coviello’s work; the meeting of Southern and Northern food cultures following the Italian internal migrations in the ‘50s and ‘60s; the food practices of international migrants in the context of the global flows of people and commodities in present day Italy.
