To describe how important Football is to me in one sentence I would say “If I look back at my life, more than half of the time I would either be playing or watching and discussing Football”. I simply cannot explain how I roll in euphoria when my favourite team wins a match. I guess I am attracted towards this beautiful game because it challenges a person’s physical and mental strength. It teaches us the importance of performing well and putting others first, to be part of something bigger than us. Football being an integral part of my life, I was also pursuing my under graduation in Computer Science and Engineering. I incessantly try to relate both as they play a very important role in my life. For example, instead of looking at football as …show more content…
I believe data mining techniques could be used to decide the Ballon d’ or winner which is an award for the world’s best player for the respective year. Depending on the number of successful passes, number of goals, number of assists and various other parameters this could be done. Observing these many applications of Computer Science in just one sport, I always wonder how many more real life applications can be had in Computer Science. It is almost impossible to imagine how the world would function in this modern era without computers. What I find the most interesting aspect of Computer Science is the unlimited possibility of trying out and the instant knowledge of the outcome that motivates one for further analysis of the underlying principle in question. It is in this field of Computer Science which is massive, enthralling and ever advancing every day that I wish to pursue my graduate …show more content…
From this very point of my life, I started my journey towards the challenging world of Computer Science and Engineering. Problem Solving Using Computers (PSUC) was the subject in the first semester of my under graduation that unlocked the doors of Computer Science and Engineering (CS&E) for me. During the course, I learnt several methods of using computers to solve problems, including C and C++ programming techniques, symbolic manipulation languages. The feeling of having achieved something after writing a correct code for even the simplest of the problems such as generating Fibonacci series or checking if the string is a palindrome or not was something very unique. Even though the output is not tangible as it is in the case of the final product of a Mechanical Engineering Project, I could still get feeling of the final output of the program or code. After that, I was introduced to Data Structures which is without a doubt the most enticing subject that I had come across in my third semester of under graduation. After the course, I was spell bound to see what Data Structures could do. I found myself in a position where I could understand and appreciate the wide-ranging applications of

When I first thought about how soccer impacted my life, nothing really came to mind. I was that kid who mostly looked forward to the end of the game snacks and bringing around the goal jar. But when I actually began thinking about more about playing soccer I realized that soccer was the first place where I was fully submerged into something completely new. I learned how to make friends, how be a leader, and how to have good sportsmanship. These are all things that have made me into the person I am today and it all began on the soccer field.
Football is a great sport to teach young boys to work for what they want which is winning the game and eventually taking the championship. When my child plays football, he will gain character and that he can use that to benefit him on life skills. Although some would argue that their child cannot play football because it's too dangerous and is a great cause of concussions or any type of injuries, parents also need to understand the viewpoint of their children. Understanding they want to do and extracurricular activities they want to be a part of.
The sport of football is apart of my life and I have been playing it with my school friends forever. The sport is also a tremendous part of my family, because we watch games together all the time and it brings us together. It is also something I talk about with my friends, and it brings us together and makes us feel as one. The game also keeps me in shape and makes me stronger for the other things I enjoy in life. As I said before, the sport means a lot to me, and helps me out with other
Simply put, football teaches valuable lessons for life. Although, there are valid safety concerns, these should not keep kids from learning these instructions. Many activities have some sort of harm associated with it, but people will still participate in them anyway because of something that they gain from it. Football has much to offer young boys who will be entering the workforce in the years to come. If the average man possessed character, understood comradery, and exercised commitment; the world would be a better place.

As a little boy I had big dreams of playing football. When I was walking in the halls of the intermediate and middle school and saw the high school football players with their jerseys on, they were like super stars. Going to the football games on Friday nights was the highlight of my week.
Soccer has kept me off the streets, it keeps me focused, maintaining agility, stamina and a side of aggression. The feeling I get when playing soccer is indescribable, the wind in my face, the crowd cheering me on..most importantly the goal - soccer relates so much to my everyday life it’s taught me teamwork and keeping myself healthy and sharp. The one person I look up to is Lionel Messi #10, the jersey that I so proudly wear every game, his motivational words, his enthusiasm really drove me to get that number and one of my favorite quotes of his would have to be “the day you think there is no improvements to be made is a sad one for anyone.” this quote is important to me because it’s a quote with such a powerful meaning, telling me that even though you may THINK you can’t get better, or do better something pushes you inside to do much greater things and I’m still learning as I go. You could ask any one of my friends or family members how much soccer has became a part of me, I want to have that name “Destiny Scott” affiliated with soccer it’s become second nature to me, soccer is a major part in my life and it has made me into the person I am

Pranav Patil Computer Science STATEMENT OF PURPOSE INTRO I believe that the ability to invent, innovate and discover is what has propelled man to the echelons of success. Throughout my life, I have been driven by the desire to “create”, a capability that transcends the passive acquisition of knowledge. It is always the unknown path that has enthralled me more than known terrain. In a world where everything from fighter jets to elevators, interactive graphic displays to digital watches, is driven by computers, I found it difficult not to get fascinated by the technology involved.
