I think they will finally realize that getting revenge isn’t always the right answer. 2) I think an important idea and theme throughout this novel is bullying and getting retaliation. The kids decide to take matter into their own hands and soon enough everything goes terribly wrong. Heck who is Mickey’s close friend and also lives in the same house as him, ends up passing away due to the hit squads choices.
The “Erik Fisher Football Dream” is there ever anything about Paul? “Tangerine” by Edward Bloor is about a teenager named Paul who struggles with finding out what happened to his eyes that made him legally blind. Paul has visions of this that happened to him in the past that he doesn’t remember, he usually gets these flashbacks/visions when he sees something that triggers it. In the beginning of Tangerine Paul is confused and angry.
“I cannot see the future and I cannot change the past. But the present is so heavy, I don’t think I’m going to last.” The second character I found interesting is B.J. Carson. He is the shortest among his friends and tries so hard to be in the basketball team, but never could get picked. He always tried so hard to get into the team for maybe about 4-5 years since the 7th grade.

The fifth chapter starts out with Arlo talking about how important endurance is in football. Arlo explains how training is important to help keep going throughout the game. Dinos approaches him while completing postgame drills, Arlo then asks Dinos to be his workout partner and Dinos agrees. It then fast forwards to Wednesday and Dinos starts immediately critiquing him on his form. They then both lifted weights and eventually wrestling.

The book tells the story of soldiers fighting in the Vietnam War. The short stories are inspired by O’Briens personal experience while fighting in the war. Jurgis falls into a very deep depression and his life goes downhill from there. He goes through many life changing experiences because he endured such bad horrible things while being out on the streets. After a little while, Jurgis starts to change his life for the better. After the end of a JV football season, the varsity coach always selects a few players to move them up with the varsity. Getting moved up with varsity is a huge deal. It means that the varsity coach thinks you’ll make a good impact on the team next year and sees potential in you. I always knew I wasn 't a good football player, but that didn 't matter to me because I loved the sport. I didn 't start at any positions my freshman or sophomore year.
The main characters are Lina mayfleet, doon harrow, mayor cole, looper windly, and granny. Lina mayfleet loves to run and hopes to become a messenger and draws about how the outside world might look like, she also must take care of her sister poppy. Doon harrow is serious and usually focusing on important tasks and loves bugs but has anger problems. Mayor cole is a greedy person who hordes all the food supplies of the city and is mean, hypocritical, and abuses power. Looper windly is a sketchy guy and keeps things to himself.
Bobo is a dynamic character, he recognizes that he bullied Amat only because he was older and felt Amat was lower than him because he was poor even though Bobo is lower middle class as well. Bobo goes onto to befriend Amat and protect his friends from the others. Bobo sees how terrible some of the people are the team are and that they hurt people because they don’t see them as equals. William Lyt is a leader on the hockey team who takes over when Kevin is arrested. His parents moved in next to Kevin’s family so that their kids would be best friends and Williams mother is a big part of the fight against Maya and claims she was lying.
The unknown not knowing where you are, how you got there or the purpose of being there. The Maze Runner written by James Dashner, is a fictional novel based in the future. Dashner uses many literary devices to help portray his imaginative story, and paint a picture in the reader’s head. The characters are described in great detail and the reader can quickly imagine their personalities and appearance. The theme used is very basic but, is fully expressed throughout the book.
