Ford needs to add a third row seat to get ahead and get more people to buy there SUV´s instead of GM products and so Ford SUVs can haul more people in them. When Ford wanted to outdo GM and make a bigger SUV and put a third row of seats in it, it meant for Chevy to upgrade the amount of plants that they have to build there trailblazers to make more and sell more. The Chevy Trailblazer has the bigger more powerful 270 hp V6 and V8 but the Ford Explorer has the smaller more fuel efficient V6 motor that is 210 hp. They made the smaller more fuel efficient V6 motor because it was also a lot better riding the the rest because smaller engine means not as heavy duty springs which lead to a more comfortable ride and leads to a lot more people/buyers to buy the Ford Explorer and then Ford will be making a lot bigger profit then what Chevy would be. If the Ford and Chevy pay rate are the same then one of them have to outdo the other and make the insurance a little better or a lot.
