Ford or Dodge, Which One Should You Choose?
Ford vs dodge, something that people do all the time. Take two trucks and try to prove that one is better than the other. There are people who have a certain brand of truck that they have always bought and they feel it is the best because of that, but there are ways to settle this argument. So which one is a better tuck? Well if someone were to say that dodge was better because they are strong, and get good gas mileage they would be right but, Ford has Dodge Ram beat in every aspect of what makes a good truck. Ford has stayed the best-selling truck in America for years and Dodge has been trying to get off the bottom for years, so that in itself can tell you that it is a better truck. Not even looking at Dodge, just looking at Ford itself and what it has improved, replaced and kept from last year’s model. So let’s look at what the new 2015 F-150 offers. Looking at Allyson Harwood’s article (in Kelly Blue Book), “Everything is new from the ground up, starting with a tough frame that uses more high-strength steel than in the past while saving weight”. Ford always comes up with new ways to make their truck better every year and that’s what they have done this year, by taking off hundreds of pounds off the cab. The cab is aluminum and not only the cab, (Allyson Harwood) “The body is made of aluminum, including the hood, doors and bed”. Changing those few things is in turn going to make the mpg go up tremendously. Which it has, 28mpg is the best you can get in a truck with this much power. Although Ford has made many differences to their truck they haven’t completely taken everything off it. They kept all the good parts of the truck. It still has a strong axle and still rides on leaf spring in the back and coil springs in the front. Everyone has to make changes and improvements to keep getting better and to stay the best and to stay on top and that is what Ford has done. They have taken the bad out (or what all they could find) and put better in. For right now there is no comparison for them because of that fact that they aren’t afraid to go back on old designs and be open to new
