I and other co-workers involved in the investigation, observed the forensic interview from an observation room. Megan began the interview by introducing herself to Gracie and explaining the layout of the forensic interviewing room.
Revised Standards require evaluation at case closure, which also provide a natural opportunity for the volunteer to provide a reciprocal evaluation of their experience and supervision. Regular evaluations between the CASA volunteer and staff provide an opportunity for coaching and improvement in both the volunteer and staff performance. However, the Program Director and Case Supervisor conduct 3-6 month case planning reviews and believe that they can develop a document the will include the evaluation of the volunteer at that time. The program will need to submit a comprehensive plan for with specific activities and measurable factors related to in-service training and volunteer evaluations. .

The purpose of the book is “to sensitize providers and those learning to be providers to the complex issues involved in cross-cultural service delivery” (Pg. 3). Furthermore, the author writes the goal of Cultural Diversity: A Primer for the Human Service is to train culturally competent human service providers (Pg. 2). In chapter two, “What It Means to Be Culturally Competent,” we learn about the importance of being culturally competent. Cultural competence is the ability to provide effective services cross-culturally (Diller, 2015, Pg. 17).
Throughout life, many are faced with obstacles. These obstacles can either set them further in society and help them reach their aspirations, or those challenges can cause one to refrain from reaching their full potential. Which in retrospect makes them settle for less than what they can fully achieve. The difference in those two paths are work ethic; if one works hard and is honest and fair they can truly achieve greatness, while the other simply settles for the easier option which in the long run may cause them more struggle later in life. Gerald Sheehy lived a life that was positively impacted by his hard work in forensic science advancements in the early stages of the FBI; he got to travel around the country and teach hundreds of people
Forensic Science is the career field I am interested in. I would enjoy being a forensic science technician because of my interest in mysteries and figuring things out. This career choice is the right choice for me because I would only need a Bachelor’s degree, it would be work I enjoy doing, and I would make an exceptional salary. Forensic science technicians aid investigations by collecting and testing evidence. Many technicians spend time either in a laboratory or on the field in crime scene investigation.

Three separate differences in Title 5 and Title 22 regulations are child assessment, program content, and parental involvement. These three differences are additional to ages, ratios and staffing qualifications, and funding sources. An explanation of these additional differences were included in the Analysis of Title 22 and Title 5 Regulations. Child assessments in a Title 22 center are not required, however there are those programs that may execute assessments periodically as an extension of their program services, these assessments are done along with sanctioned assessments mandated to assess the needs of children with disabilities through the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Individuals in this field must have the ability to quickly build rapport with children and adolescents, speak effectively before individuals and groups, willingness to travel for up to six consecutive days (and five nights) in order to participate in out-of-town forensic interview training, and have the ability to pass required the Department of Children and Family Services and criminal background checks (Champaign County, 2014). The Bureau of Labor Statistics did not have information directly pertaining to the salary of forensic interviewers but the salary of private detectives, and the median wage in 2015 was $45,610 (BLS, 2016). The salary of a forensic interviewer is highly dependent upon the amount of experience the individual has in that
Science has come a long way over the years. It has helped countless every day struggles and cure diseases most commonly found. What you don’t hear about however is the advancement of forensic science. Forensic science has helped solve countless cases of murder, rape, and sexual assault. In the case of John Joubert, it helped solve the murders of three young boys with one small piece of evidence that linked him directly to the crime.
A CAF Form would be made if Social Care took over the case- A Common Assessment Framework Form would be written by my manager, and given to Social Care. This would give Social Care a clear overview of the child or young person. Team staff meeting- An update from the manager would be made to all staff that were involved in the case as to what the following steps were to be to best meet the child’s needs and to keep them safe and what has happened so far and how to best support the child in the setting.

Approach the Scene: The crime scene investigator returns the microphone to its clip and begins the drive to the latest assignment. A crime scene investigation begins well before the CSI enters a structure, an open field or wooded area. Usually the radio dispatch message is brief and seldom reveals the full nature of the incident. Most often this is done to avoid drawing on-lookers and the media who may be monitoring the dispatch frequency.
