Washington knew a strong Constitution had to be in place, which is why he was responsible for the Constitutional Convention. The effects of his inaugural address and presidency really mattered, given he was the first of our many presidents. George Washington proved he truly cared for the American people and the country. He took charge and changed what had to be done, because his speech altered the government and society as we know it today; our Constitution, our executive and judicial branches, and our Supreme Court. While he did emphasize the need for a Constitution, he was not the only one responsible for it’s making.
They are both prominent hotels in the Washington DC area. The Omni Shoreham and Willard Intercontinental hotel both have rich and prominent history. They hosted the most prominent political and social members of their respective decade. Both places served as venues for historic events. Additionally, each building has been remolded and restored to highlight and honor the hotels’ rich past and characteristics.

Every sculpture in DC carries great significance in American history. Each monument throws light to a particular period or a person that played a remarkable role in the history. In 1804 Rock Island was bought in a treaty formed from six chiefs from the Sauk and Foxes. The first fort was built on Rock Island in 1816, it was named after the Secretary of War who had just died, Fort Armstrong. The building was 270 square feet with twenty foot high walls built of stone and wood. The walls were only on the South and East sides of the building because cliffs off the island were on the other sides. On either side there was a two story blockhouse with cannons inside.

It’s the home of the three branches of government as well with the White House, Supreme Court, and the Capital Building. It also has many memorials that today we still visit.
The Pentagon The Pentagon is an United States Department of Defense in Washington D.C, or Arlington Virginia.It was built so the Department would become more organized, with the World War II going on. Now, the Pentagon is currently being used for the United State’s Department of Defense. The Pentagon includes all four branches of the military, (the marine course, navy, army, and the air force). It’s construction began on September 11, 1941 during the World War II, and was finished on January 15, 1973. The Pentagon took 16 months to build, with 13,000 builders, which costed 1.1 billion dollars.

He died in New York City on January 6 , 1919. In the year of 1904 he won a second term.When he was young he didn’t stay at law school very long. Afterwhile , he decided to return to political life in 1886 , that was the second time he married his wife he had known about since his childhood age.
