(Senge,1990),identified learning organizations as organisations that inspire adaptive and generative knowledge, inspiring employees to think outside the box and work together with other employees to find the best answer problems found.
There are five core disciplines characteristics of a learning organization which are namely:
1. Personal mastery which is used by system engineers to analysis problems - the continuous individual development essential to improve the organization
2. Shared vision motivates investigation and improvement amongst multiple members - identifying what the organization is capable of becoming & having everyone understand and agree on a shared vision that guides managerial decisions
3. Team learning is an analysis that consists of more than one person acting together which is regarded as two heads are better than one - organisational intelligence is directly related to its members’ ability to act in consort. That ability must increase faster than it does at major competitors
4. Systems thinking is analysis that looks at the full picture rather than the individual problem - viewing connected events as a system
5. Mental models involves an analysis whereby an individual uses

The first step is for the leader to have the ability to have and share a vision with his employees. Effective leaders have a vision for the future of the company and always want continuous improvement. For them to achieve this goal they need to communicate this gaol with employees. Secondly step to effective leadership is for the leader to be able to inspire his employees through leading by example and helps people see the greatness in themselves. Leadership, as per my understanding, could mean leading others to rediscover themselves by providing guidance, not through what-to-do lists, so they would reach the necessary urge to reach a better state personally and professionally. During Dorsch employment, I have noticed great potentials in my colleague; I convinced him to switch jobs from a drafting person to a civil engineer, by presenting the textbooks and resources needed, guiding him along the transition phase and by presenting, through examples, how easily could be the learning process and transition. Along my career, I lead my colleagues to produce integrated solutions, by creating the urge to know the answers of different what-if scenarios for their solutions; I bring textbooks and tools to convince them; I present examples of what should be done, the benefits of efforts done and the consequences of careless isolated solutions. Not only one colleague now is persuading her dreams by studying post graduate in Netherlands, but also she got an award to be distinguished;
Leadership is influencing those around you in a positive way. It also means inspiring others to achieve their goals, while also achieving yours along the way. While inspiration and achievement are essential to be a successful leader, I believe that the most important goal is to encourage others to also become effective leaders. I believe that the following quote aligns to the values of our organization, “I start with the premise that the function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers.” - Ralph Nader.

There are different ways to be a leader and different skills that an effective leader can have. The objective of a leader is to effectively guide others to complete a goal. From Stalin’s autocratic leadership, to Barton’s participatory leadership both were effective in completing their goals. Leaders need to be very caring and show a genuine passion to work with others. Being passionate about the employees drives a leader to learn more about their greatest attributes and their greatest weaknesses. By learning these about each employee shows that not only does the leader what himself to succeed, but wants his employees to succeed as well. Furthermore, a leader needs to be sincerely caring on learning about its employees; it is not something that they should or can fabricate. If the employees feel that the leader does not care and they are only pretending to, then the employees will not respect the leader.

Daft’s book The Leadership Experience, and from my various work environments.
u08a1 Team Development Summary Session Two The team consisted of Adam McCrea, Assistant Laboratory Manager; Leigh Greer, Customer Service Coordinator; Eric Hubrich, Senior Calibration Technician; and myself, Laboratory Manager. Team Learning was the learning discipline chosen for my team. Team learning is one of Senge’s five components of a learning organization. Being a learning organization is one effective way an organization can thoroughly manage change to gain a competitive advantage.
Leaders also need to show everyone how to behave, and they need to be honest, show appreciation, and work towards a bright future. If a leader is not effective the whole company can fall apart. Leadership is all about the relationship between those that aim and strive to lead and those who select and follow them and work together on shared goals. I agree that poor leadership can also lead to poor customer satisfaction and also decrease profits. Being an exemplary leader does make a difference, so all of the characteristics, skills, and more you have mentioned are very important.
