5. Summary of your Key Leadership Strengths and Areas for Development My main leadership strengths reside in using a combination of several leadership styles. I use directive style when working on tight deadlines maintaining firm assertiveness, however, I deploy affiliative style in creating professional relationships that are necessary to work in teams.
My Core Competencies There re billions and billions of people on planet earth at this very moment. Out of those billions and billions of people no one is the same as me or you. I may have similar qualities, but I am not the same. I am 6 feet and 2 inches and I weigh 250 pounds. The average person can handle loud noises but I can 't. I can 't handle them because I am Autistic.
1) Discuss strengths in the profession and on-line program. I believe that my background as school teacher has allowed me to develop certain strengths that will benefit me as I enter the school counseling profession. Firstly, my communication style is versitile and enables me to appropriately instruct students, collaborate effectively with teachers, connect with parents, and rally support from administrators and stakeholders. Secondly, I am able to bring a creative, motivating, and caring spirit to the school environment, that fosters collaborative efforts among teachers, administrators, students, and parents to achieve the common goal of promoting the success of all students. Lastly, my experience working with underserved and underrepresented students in a Title I school has heightened the role as an advocate for students.

From StrengthsFinder 2.0, I chose these five strengths, “Achiever, Strategic, Individualization, Responsibility, and Intellection” (Rath, 2007) which are defined below.
Leaders possess different strengths that allow them to succeed in their career or life. The Clifton Strengths Finder Assessment helped identify my top strengths and how to lead with my strengths in order to further develop them. My top five strengths were competition, positivity, winning others over (WOO), harmony, and achiever. Based on the meaning of each strength, I related to all them, however, I was surprised by some of them.
Strengths Finder Reflection My top five strengths are adaptability, relator, maximizer, empathetic and strategic. It was not surprising to confirm my top five strengths because, in my work and social interactions, I find that I love relating with others and yearn to understand their situations and take them in that light. However, I am also a practical person who likes planning and looking at an issue from all perspectives. I, therefore, believe that I strike a balance as I am not rigid, neither am I too spontaneous, but most of all I try as much as possible to deal with a situation on its merit to maximize on positive outcomes.
Responsibility has always been a key value I hold close to me. I believe in the importance of taking ownership of tasks I have been assigned with and to be committed to them. In all work (e.g. project work or CCAs) delegated to me, I will perform my duties to the best of my ability. Whether it is individual or team work, I constantly seek to improve and add value to my/our work.
What are your two strengths and what is your weakness? My two greatest strengths are my communication and problem solving skills. I excel at understanding customer needs and motivations, and using this insight to tailor selling points, to understand potential obstacles, and to devise effective solutions. My greatest weakness has been the difficult I have in declining additional work assignments.

In may ways, some of my greatest strengths are my greatest weaknesses. I struggle with delegation, I do too much care taking of feelings and may not delegate sufficiently or push hard enough for results. Most importantly, I dislike disappointing others and I agree to do too much. This leaves me over tasked, and I am not sufficiently organized to manage it well because I struggle to delegate.
Strengths: As a student one of my strengths is organization. I can say I can keep my school materials and notebooks organized in a way that I and others can comprehend. The reason I can say I am organized is because, I have hardly ever had in the past or present any issues with trying to find homework or assignments because I always kept my materials for each class organized and in a place I could easily find. Another strength I have is social skills. I can believe that I communicate with others well in a group.
The purpose of this essay is to identify management strength and weakness that need to be developed. It is because of the need to recognize own weaknesses and learn how to make them benefit from management.
