An individual’s choice of action, and responses to challenges, incentives, and rewards are influenced by his or her attitude. Four major components of attitude are affective which is the emotions or feelings, cognitive which is the belief or opinions held consciously, conative which is the inclination for action, and evaluative which is the positive or negative response to stimuli. Perceptions of an individual is the process by which the individual translate his or her sensory impressions into a coherent and unified view of the world around them. Due to the individual having the wrong attitude, they will have different perception towards the organization. They might clash with the culture of the organization, disrupt teamwork, causing unrest and impacting overall performance. Every individual is going to face different challenges and have difficult times in life. By developing the right attitude such as determination, tenacity and resilience, he or she will be able to overcome the challenges and the difficult times he or she is having. With the right attitude, the individual will eventually find ways to overcome the challenges and achieve success instead of stressing over and running away from the challenges he or she is facing.
