Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character are the four pillars of the National Honor Society, and I believe that I exemplify these characteristics in many different ways. I also believe these are characteristics that every person should have inside and outside of work or school. I am not an expert in all of these categories, but I know that, if given the opportunity, I can and will prove that I have these qualities and represent them well. I believe that my teachers would attest to my academic abilities. I am aware, however, that the term “Scholarship” does not just relate to grades and school academics. It also means how well a person can rework and learn. I think that one of the most important lessons that I have learned in my lifetime …show more content…
I have a lot of experience in leadership especially since I started JROTC and have moved up in it in only two years. I have learned many different skills that a leader needs to have, and I have put many of those skills into practice. I have helped organize events and run entire events with the help of a team. The reason that I feel that leadership and service go hand in hand is the fact that you can’t serve without having qualities that a good leader needs to have. You need to be able to take responsibility if you are going to serve. A good leader needs to know how to handle certain situations and if they don’t then they need to know how to use the tools and people around them to get the task done efficiently and effectively. When serving you need to know how to handle any situation thrown at you while also being able to listen to those put in charge of …show more content…
This does not mean that I have nothing to learn because like I said before we should be able to learn. I would like to show you that I do go above and beyond with these qualities. I hope to be given the opportunity to prove it. I am interested in being a member of the National Honor Society for a few reasons. One reason is it is a way that I can help give back to the community with different service projects and opportunities. It is also something can help me get into a good college. It is also a chance to earn scholarships. It helps add things to a resume as well that future schools and jobs look for, and I want to have any bonus that I can to help myself do well later in life. I believe that I have many things that I bring to the National Honor Society. One thing that y’all would be receiving, if you choose to accept me, is a strong servant leader. I work well with others, and I am a responsible person. If I am given a task, then I will get it done how and when you want it done. I am also the kind of person that you can expect to have things done on time, and you can trust that I will have it done. I am also a very hard worker, and I like getting tasks done in a timely manner while still completing it to the best of my
National Honor Society has shown me that small acts of kindness or service are all it takes to make a difference in the lives of our community members. Pelé says that success is found through, “...hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice…” These principles also apply to the characteristics of the person it takes to be an influential person in society and have an impact on our community. National Honor Society has been a great way for me and my peers to hold ourselves accountable to these standards and has been an outlet to make a difference in the world around us. However, it is not just about giving back to the community but also growing as humans through the projects we serve in.
The National Honors Society is an organization that recognizes those who have shown the potential to adhere to the four pillars of society. The four pillars the National Honors Society sets its merit and foundation would be scholarship, leadership, service, and character. During the time that I have been a part of Nation Ford High School, and even the time preceding my high school years, I feel that I have accurately satisfied the requirements and applications of the four pillars which are noted above. Beginning with the first pillar of scholarship, I have managed to maintain an unweighted GPA of 4.0 with a weighted average of 5.15. I have worked effortlessly and effectively to make sure my grades were always in the highest percentile to

By being part of this program, I will do just those four qualities each and every opportunity possible. National Honor Society is not just a club you join throughout high school, it is an opportunity in which most people are not able to take part in. Accepting me into National Honor Society would be the best option for you as I bring all four qualities of scholarship, leadership, service, and character with me to the table.
I believe I display all of the qualities mentioned in the four pillars of National Honor Society. I am a person of good character who displays the six pillars of character in everything I do. I provide leadership and service in many ways and value education as a lifelong learner. Being a member of the National Honor Society would motivate me even more to be the best version of myself and help to create change in positive
Membership in the National Honor Society is a venerable honor reserved only for the students that best exemplify the core values of outstanding work ethic, moral character, service to the community, and leadership, as well as a high level of scholarly achievement. I believe that I possess all of these attributes, making me an excellent candidate for acceptance into the National Honor Society. I am involved deeply with our school, with our community, with our government, I have achieved high academic standards, and I am a proven and natural leader. One of my proudest achievements is my high level of achievement in my academic studies. I have been on the honor roll in all marking periods since my outset as a Central Dauphin High School student, and receiving distinguished honors in four of my six total marking periods of high school.
I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Overall, I have worked incredibly hard these last two years to display a positive character and obtain qualities such as leadership, responsibility, and scholarship. I strongly believe I will be a productive and reliable member of the National Honor Society at Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School.
There are several different qualities that make up who I am as a person, but there are four that stand out when it comes to being a National Honor Society member. These include character, leadership, scholarship and service. To begin with, I feel that character is an important quality to possess. In school, I have never been written up for violating code or have served a school detention/suspension and I hope not to in the future.
Moreover, I have worked very hard throughout high school to better myself and those around me in the many ways mentioned above. I also serve as a role model, both inside the classroom and out, by pushing myself to accomplish goals even I do not always believe I could, always respecting others and listening attentively to the opinions of people around me, and making an effort to enrich the lives of others. I am hopeful the National Honor Society will help me develop this further, and thank you for taking hte time to read my application.
It is a great honor to be nominated as a member of the National Honor Society. There are many reasons why I want to take part in NHS. One reason why I want to be in it is to continue to grow academically with people who have the same goals as me. I want to be encouraged, not discouraged by the people around me. If I get into NHS, it will give me a lot of opportunities to be a leader.
It is an extraordinary honor to be considered as a candidate for the National Honor Society. Being considered means I have achieved my goal in demonstrating my determination- in school and outside of school- and my willingness to aid people in my community. Being a part of such a prestigious organization is an enormous responsibility to which I will fully devote my time. Ever since I was a freshman, my goal was to work diligently to be among the highest scholars and to be accepted into this scholarly “hall of fame”. Through my relentless hard work and perseverance, I believe that I possess the four characteristics of a National Honor Society member- leadership, service, character, and scholarship.
This is what the National Honor Society hopes for in a member. I know i’m not perfect and can make mistakes at times, but acknowledging that takes a lot of character. My academic achievements are a result of my determination and drive to ensure that i’ll be able to achieve success in the future as well as serve as role model to the younger siblings and cousins in my family. Getting good grades is a priority to me. Having a XX GPA and being a Distinguished Varsity Scholar for the past 3 years didn 't happen by luck, it happened because of the sheer dedication I have towards my school and
Dear NHS committee I'm writing to you today to tell you why I think I would be a great fit for the National Honor Society. I have always received honors and sometimes high honors throughout middle school, and now high school. Before I knew what the NHS was I didn’t know exactly how having good grades could benefit me. Now, I realize that the NHS is a great opportunity for me and my future. I’ve researched what the National Honor Society wants in its members, and I think I can offer exactly what they are looking for.
The National Honor Society is built upon four founding principles: Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service. I have a high school life filled with dedication to these four principles on the Spiritual standpoint, the Familial level, the Community level and finally at the National level. Moreover, I did begin my dedication to these same four principles even before this starting with the Boy Scouts of America and this commitment will continue along with having a rich future when I reach my fullest potential. I firmly believe that to have academic excellence is giving your best effort to maintain not just having straight As and a high GPA at or close to the edge of attaining a 4.0, but to also have the skills that help you perform your very best in college and beyond. To recap, it is having a well-rounded education with just the right academics and activities best suited to your
National Honor society was established to recognize outstanding high school students. National Honor society recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of academic success, leadership, character and service. I should be in National Honor Society because I think I represent a lot of the qualities needed to be in this organization. Throughout my years in high school, I have been very involved in the band program here at Langham Creek. As a freshman, I started out in Concert 2 band.
