Accident or Not?

In the short story “The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber,” Francis Macomber and his wife Margot Macomber take a very adventurous safari trip, where their marriage is put to the ultimate test and fails terribly. The safari trip describes the couple’s entire marriage which is, jealousy, infidelity, and greed. On the safari, Francis is named as a coward by his wife and other members of their camp for being too afraid to kill a lion. Margot decides to have a special relation with Wilson the safari guide until Francis finds out.
