(Frankie Owens 2012) states that 80% of prisoners take drugs. Also 85,000 prisoners that were in the UK and 68,000 of those offenders were taking drugs. Frankie statement is backed by (theguardian.com 2010) which states that in 2010 30,000 (35%) of the prison population take drugs and that 85% get and hold onto illegal substances that they give to inmates. Furthermore officers still not able to address matters such as the high number of drugs that enter into prison regardless of search regulations that they have in place stated by Frankie Owens. Therefore this theory relates to him because his behaviour was seen as this and therefore by doing this he wasn't co-operating along with officers which caused him to be committing an offence. Frankie was also taking illegal drugs which are a criminal offense which therefore had led to Frankie Owen being arrested numerous amount of times.
