Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Biography American citizens will vote every four years for the President of the United States. The people usually vote for the two main party’s; Republicans and Democrats. The elections are held in November, but the President is not sworn in until January. He was also president during two of the hardest times America has seen, World War Two and the Great Depression. President Roosevelt was a successful president based on his economic, civil rights, and immigration policies.
