Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the 32nd President of the United States of America. Roosevelt, who was more commonly known by his initials, FDR, was elected into office in 1933. FDR was the only president to serve for more than two terms. Not only is Roosevelt famous for his three terms, he was also one of the most liberal presidents our nation has ever known. Meaning that, he was a big supporter of equal rights, and opportunities for the working and lower class. Overall, FDR believed that the government should play a key role in making sure all citizens are taken care of, even if it means creating taxes or fees, that all citizens pay to support programs to help those who are in need.
