Franklin D. Roosevelt is generally recognized as the nation’s 32nd president and an individual who aided the American people in the depths of the Great Depression. Before this event, the president prior, Herbert Hoover, had not successfully been capable of turning the American economy around. Consequently, the Americans were desperate for a president that could support them. Therefore, they anticipated that Franklin D. Roosevelt would alleviate the economic issue. Throughout his first inaugural address in 1933, with utmost candor, he demonstrated that he was reliable enough to take the duty as the president.

Franklin D. Roosevelt had won the presidential election. He was the new face the new hero to help save the people he first announced a 4 day holiday in which all banks would close, reform and then reopen to better serve the people. He restored the public confidence and his 100 days in the office Roosevelt administration passed legislation to basically create jobs for people and start recovery. Franklin Roosevelt had a positive effect on people and gave many people hope. He told Americans that there was nothing to fear except for fear its self. That speech gave many Americans hope, the Americans believed that Franklin Roosevelt would help them get out of the Depression. FDR also introduced many new ideas such as the New deal and the Programs in the New Deal. He also held fireside chats that explained the New Deal and Defend the New Deal.

Based on my research online Roosevelt was the man who changed the United States for the better and was one of the best presidents to rule the office. He was mostly known for his progressive’s political. He also helped end cronyism. He also attacked railroad trusts, and ended up building up a strong navy. Roosevelt negotiated the end of the Russo-Japanese War.

People who are desperate to become accepted by all the people in America, can do some pretty unpredictable things. Lyndon B. Johnson is an example of this. Before he became president, Johnson changed his mind about some things and signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Why did L.B.J. sign the Civil Rights Act of 1964? Lyndon B. And for people to have faith in him did mean something for him to become president. Roosevelt knew what he was going in for when he ran for president during the economic crisis. And Roosevelt as a President did bring many changes to the country. With the New Deal I would say that there was an economic change because even though the Great Depression did not end the improvement of the economy did rise up. Many people had gotten job even though some struggled at the rate of 20 percent of the people still looking for jobs and were unemployed Roosevelt did help as much as he can to get the economy back on its feet.
