Its A Beautiful day In The Neighborhood “Knowing that we can be loved exactly as we are gives us all the best opportunity for growing into the healthiest of people (Fred Rogers). Frederick Mcfeely Rogers is an accomplished author, television personality, puppeteer, and much more. Mr.rogers has helped make public educational television what it is today. The symbol for childhood in America is Fred Rogers. From learning lessons within himself to putting smiles on faces of children all over the United States Fred Mcfeely Rogers became revolutionary. Fred Rogers is revolutionary due to his contributions in children’s television and positive influence on children.

The show displayed valuable life skills that children can take with them into adulthood. “The Children's Corner aired on WQED from 1954 to 1961 and in 1955 won the Sylvania Television Award for best local children's show in the United States. The series also aired nationally on NBC for 39 weeks.” (Sapp “Obituary”). Josey Carey was an inspirational child mentor who connected with the young minds of America. Without Josie Carey, Fred Rogers wouldn't have got his huge Start in the children's entertainment business. Remembering a show from childhood is like a blast from the past. Josie Carey enjoyed making television shows that could actually benefit society. "I'd like to think I added something to the lives of many children over the years," Ms. Carey said. "I didn't get rich and I didn't get really famous, but I think my being around during those years and some of the ideas and our values were appreciated." (Sapp “Obituary”). Josie is down to earth and cares about bettering the community, a lot like Fred Rogers. After The Children’s Corner, a similar idea came to Fred Rogers’ head, a half-hour children's television series called Mister Rogers
