Also known as Melior or press pot, French Press is one of the simplest ways to brew deliciously full bodied and aromatic coffee. In fact, when you compare it with the espresso and even the latte the method for making French Press comes across as distinctly low tech. • For 2 servings go with 16 fluid ounces of water, which is about 2 cups, and 1/4 cup coffee beans.
• 4 servings can be made from 32 fluid ounces or 4 cups of water with 1/2 cup beans.
• For 8 ounces double this quantity to get 8 cups or 64 fluid ounces of water with one cup of coffee beans

Getting ready to brew the French Press!

You will need to get your coffee grounds and water ready along with a French Press or an electric kettle or even a stove top kettle. Also, keep a wooden spoon or chopsticks handy for stirring in the grounds and a timer to get the extraction right.

Preparing the French Press

Step 1: Grind the coffee beans to get coarse particles. This should be the second or the third click of the knob on your Broyeur Manual Mill. Make sure that you only use beans that have been roasted no more than a week before use. Also, ensure that you use the right quantity of beans to get enough grounds for the amount of coffee you intend to brew
Step 2: Measure as much water as you need to make the desired amount of coffee and bring to a boil.
Step 3: Put some hot water in the French press or the kettle and rinse it out before pouring in the coffee
