Introduction I was a boy at the age of 12 when the French revolution started.We were poor and in the third estate so life wasn't as easy as it was for the others.The French revolution started in 1789 and it ended in the late 1790s.The French Revolution started because our King who was King Louis xvi needed more money.There were many other reasons besides the Financial crisis such as a large gap in between rich and poor,the middle class which lacked political power and ideas of the enlightenment all lead up to the French Revolution. Our king was facing bankruptcy so he called the estates general into session. The Meeting of the Estates General The King has called the Estates General for a meeting to discuss our financial crisis.The estates General hasn't been called in 175 years.He was specifically called to discuss the crises between the estates.We are in the 3rd estate which is the least wealthy estate.Each of the estates had to vote by order to determine which estate would be taxed.The Meeting of the Estates General did not represent the Estates correctly. …show more content…

Each group had one vote but we were still outvoted by the wealthier classes.We had declared ourselves as the national assembly.We pledged to never separate and to meet whenever we needed to.This helped lead to the democracy because it helped the people make their own
