This essay is mainly based on the four major developmental theories: Freud’s theory of psychosexual development, Erikson’s theory of psychosocial development, Piaget’s stages of cognitive development and Lawrence Kohlberg’s theory of moral development. The main aim of this essay is to explain four major developmental theories and explain that how I am going to practically apply these four major theories in my real life teaching. This essay includes a brief information about each stage and also I have explained how we can practically apply these four major theories in our real world teaching. Christine says “teachers who apply development theories in the classroom create an environment where each child feels appreciated and is comfortable with learning new things and building relationships with peers without fear" (Christine, 2010).
