William Shakespeare in the play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet uses conflict between the Capulet and the Montagues to create drama. Throughout the play, Friar Laurence has a tendency to make the wrong decision when it comes to Romeo and Juliet. Which relates to the death and downfall of the star cross lovers. For example, Friar Laurence in Act 5, scene 3 lines 267-268 here is how: Friar Laurence states “Miscarried by my fault, let my old life/ Be sacrificed, some hour before his time,” meaning that he knows he made some bad decisions and that he is at fault. It follows that Friar Laurence is the ultimate cause of the tragedy because he made some bad choices. Their death can be their own blame, however, as I would see it Friar Lawrence is
