The killing of Romeo and Juliet is to blamed. In the book Romeo and Juliet there is a boy named Romeo and a girl named Juliet. They meet at a party and it is love at first sight. Friar Lawrence says Romeo needs to go away for a little bit, she sends him to Mantua. When Romeo is in Mantua Juliet is told to marry Paris. Juliet wants to kill herself because she does not want to marry Paris. She gets sleeping potion and takes it. She is deep asleep when Romeo comes home. Romeo thinks she is dead, he then went and bribed the apothecary for poison. He went to Juliet's tomb and starts to drink the poison when Juliet wakes up. Juliet watches Romeo die, then Juliet grabs Romeo's dagger and stabs herself. Friar Lawrence is to blame for the death of Romeo …show more content…

“Welcome from Mantua.”(5.3.3) This quote shows his arrival at Mantua. When she sent Romeo to Mantua, that left Juliet by herself and she loved Romeo. While Romeo is gone Friar Lawrence proposes a plan: Juliet must consent to marry Paris; then, on the night before the wedding, she must drink a sleeping potion that will make her appear to be dead; she will be laid to rest in the Capulet tomb, and then Friar Lawrence will send word to Romeo in Mantua to help him retrieve her when she wakes up. Friar Lawrence is to blame because she came up with the plan of Juliet. When Romeo came back from Mantua he found Juliet and thought she was dead because she was in the Capulet’s tomb. Romeo then went and bribed the apothecary for poison. “Juliet, I come! this do I drink to thee.”(4.4.58) This quote shows Romeo returning to the tomb. When he starts to drink the poison, Juliet arises after being in deep sleep. Juliet sees Romeo pass away. Friar Lawrence is to blame because she lead Romeo to take the poison and die. When Juliet saw Romeo dead she was upset. She then grabbed Romeos knife (dagger) and stabbed herself. “O happy dagger…”(5.3.182) This quote shows that she was happy to die with Romeo and that is what she wanted.
