In William Shakespeare's, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, six people die in the play including Romeo and Juliet. At the end of the play, Prince Escalus asks who is to be punished for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Friar Lawrence, Fate, and Lord Capulet are to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Friar Lawrence is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. In Act iv, Scene i, Juliet is now married to Romeo. Juliet asks Friar Lawrence for help to avoid marrying Paris.
