When settlers first came to America because it is “the land of opportunities” and they want to escape from the control of their government. The east coast was the beginning of the frontier experience when the first settlers came there and when the last western land settled that was the end of the frontier. Because of the harsh life in the frontier, the people who lived there had to do everything by themselves, so they had to be self-reliant. The American male hero had always been the self-reliant frontiersman; this kind of male hero had a strong body and had been rugged because of the condition of the frontier life. Many of places in U.S.A are named for his name, and many settlements carrying his name such as Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, etc. Also, Schools, in the American outdoors and they put his picture on half dollar coins.
The second type of heroic self-reliance and material wealth who fights man against man is Jesse James was born on September 5, 1847 in Missouri. He was the leader of a gang of U.S. banks and a thief and a murderer and he was one of the members of the James Gang.
James Unofficially fought in the American Civil War with gang Bloody Bill Anderson, and his brother fought with the Task Colonel Frank W. C Koantryl. After the end of the war the militant groups had surrendered and Jesse had a gunshot and he turned to the criminal life, then he became one of the outlaws. James created his gang in 1867, they were stealing banks and trains, murder, robbery, attacked the mail shops and people, but they boast that they did not steal a friend or a priest or widow.
