Around 2 years ago, I stepped into a small room in Lancaster. I saw about 20 other girls in that room, all accompanied by their parents. My mom picked up a paper and my sister and I sat down. I was shaking looking at my sheet music, trying to remember the tune. I looked across the room looking at the other girls and attempting to see what they were singing. Then a woman called my name. This was the first time I had ever been to and auditioned for the Fulton Theater.
I followed the woman up a tight stairway to a doorway. She opened the door and walked in. Folder in my hand i proceeded to the room that was painted black. There was a piano with a older lady sitting patiently. I handed her my music and went over the tempo with her. Right after i finished, I hopped to a "X" in the middle of the room. In front of me were 2 men. I later found out that they were the music director and the director.

I then gestured to the woman on the piano to begin. She started playing and I remember the looks they gave each other. I was completely surprised that they didn't stop me at 16 bars. This was because they had stopped the other girls that had went before me. I went on the sing the whole song, then they asked me if i knew "Castle on a Cloud". "Of course" I answered. They scrambled through a large pile of papers. I spoke up to stop the ruckus and said "I have it in my folder if you need it." The music director replied "That would be
Hi Yasna, It 's Samantha, the associate you interviewed Friday for sales lead. Sorry for the extremely late email, this is the first chance I 've gotten to write you. Today I went by Children 's Place at Eastridge, and spoke with Diana. You had asked me to see what I noticed that was different from Eastridge and Valley Fair, and the first thing that I noticed when I walked in was how much smaller the store is compared to Valley Fair. I also noticed how there is less traffic coming through at Eastridge then there is at Valley fair.
I opened the door and bell chimed. Walking in I could see Adam with somebody in the back and waited for him to come up front. One minute Sam I need to see who’s here said Adam. Sure said Sam I’ll wait. Adam walked up front and when he saw me a big smile crossed his face.
It’s June 16, 2016, and I’m in Eagle River. I’m thinking to myself, “Why am I here? I am not in the mood for this. This isn’t what I planned for. I should be walking through the competitor gates, not the gates for the stands and raffles.”
“Whitney? Whitney! Come back! Please, not again!” Screamed Rainsford, voice hoarse from his constant cries. Rain pounded on him, and the midnight-like sea was trying to pull him into its depths.
IT “It” was first seen in the late 90’s. It was said that many kids that were in the woods and driving alone would disappear. It would also be reported that people just walking on the street at night would go missing. This scared a lot of people that the mayor of Devils Lake, Lenawee County, Michigan had to make a curfew that to be to bed by sunset. Who ever broke this law was either put in jail or gone missing.
"Thomas Longwoods Acting Classes, they 're in Montgomery Valley now, I want to sign up" I tell my mother as I hold the sheet infront of her face. " Acting.... why? " She says, squinting her eyes to read the words while my baby sister Ronnie starts to nuzzle her head in to my moms neck. " Because its my drea-" Ronnie starts to spit up and mother jolts to the washroom before I can even finish my sentence. I lift the registration form and crumple in into my palms.
Just Another Day in Boonsboro It was just another day in Boonsboro, Maryland. I drove on 34 like I do every day. I saw the same police officer parked at the edge of the police station attempting to scare citizens into slowing down. I drove through the narrow streets full of quaint townhouses and came to a stop at one of the three stoplights in our town.
I couldn’t believe it. Suddenly, it was pouring! I was eleven and I was on a hike in the Zion Canyon Narrows, walking through the Virgin River. The views were spectacular, not a cloud in the sky, and everything was perfect.
The music came to an end and he out the box down where the dusty outline was, as he continued to explore the eerie room he came upon an old wooden chair facing the dark corner. The chair seemed just like another old chair but when get got a closer look he noticed that the bottom of the chair had claw marks on it. Deep cringing marks make him feel discouraged, he stood up and head for the
I completely forgot about my audition while we played, but after we left I suddenly remembered it. I was nervous all over again. The audition room for the trombones was just down the hall from the band room. So it was a short walk, but it seemed like forever.
An experience of my own that involves a musical moment that brings a memory is a song called, “Hokey Pokey.” This is a nursery rhyme that children learn in elementary school. This song is an example of a musical moment that brings a memory to me because when I was in kindergarten, this song was played every day during dismissal time. While all of the students were waiting to be dismissed from the class the teacher would put this song every day. Meanwhile, the “Hokey Pokey” song played we would all get in a circle and start dancing to this song as a group.
The event that I had the opportunity to attended was a country concert at the University of Kansas. This was my first time attending a concert and also the first time I had heard country music being played live. The main reason that I attended the concert was primarily because it was free and the fact that I had never been to the University of Kansas before. Myself and a couple of friends went to the concert, Mosies Suarez was one of the friends that went to the concert with me. The artist who preformed at the concert was the country artist Brad Paisley, who is a well known singer and songwriter within the United States.
Interning at the Green Room Community Theatre didn’t feel like work, it was an amazingly fun experience with great instructors and interns. My expectations going in on the first day were more than exceeded especially after I met David Townsend which is an incredible role model. He is so passionate about what he does and I hope one day I will feel the same way about my career choice. I couldn’t have been happier with where I chose to intern. I met so many amazing interns that I hope come back and intern at the Green Room again just as I hope to next summer, we all got along so well and there was never a dull moment between us.
It all starts with the crack of a firework and the sizzle as the sparks slowly drift back to earth. In the distance you can hear the crying of little kids, terrified of the booming sounds, along with the "oohs" and "ahs" of the people in the little town enjoying the fireworks show. Proceeding the thirty minute show, families file up the beach stairs to return to the comfort of their own beds. In the morning they will participate in the yearly parade. Early in the morning children and their parents gather in the parking lot of the community house to decorate their bikes and scooters in red, white, and blue.
We made it through the audition and Kay saved us by thinking of the name Sapphires on the spot because its way easier to say. After the judges said that we’re going to Vietnam I was very excited because there’s not much we can do for me to become famous back at home and it was my idea to go to Vietnam in the first place. Our first performance was amazing we went really well and everyone in the club was dancing with us and as usually Cynthia was off making out with some random guy and I was talking to this guy who told me that anyone could have trough a hand grenade at us at any point which really scared me. while we were traveling around Vietnam doing shows for the soldiers it really showed me how bad this war was we were even attacked once just before a show. It turned out to be a really good experience and nobody other than Dave who was shot in the shoulder got
