Plans and Goals for Future in Psychology: Psychology Paper
Introduction
After recently changing my major to Psychology I have created different goals that I wish to accomplish with this major. Learning more about the psychology major has allowed me to create a strategy to follow to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and to have a successful career in psychology. My goals vary from graduating college with honors to having in the future my own private practice. These goals cannot be accomplished without having a plan in mind to successfully accomplish my goals. My ideas may adjustment depending what obstacles or opportunities arise in the future.

One of my goals is to graduate with honors. When completing my Bachelor’s Degree one of my goals would be to attend the Great Plains Convention. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree I would at that point pursue a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Emporia State University. After receiving a Master’s Degree I would wish to open my own private practice and practice therapy for families. Goals that I have set after learning more about psychology is to make my family proud about my choice of major and what future opportunities I will have arisen for me. Another one of my goals is learn more about how others react in situations and being able to analyze them in those situations in the additional upper psychology course. My goals will allow me to be more prepared for my future as a clinical psychologist. These goals not only help set the pathway for my future, but also aid me in keeping on track of what I want to accomplish during a set timeline. My major goal is to be a clinical psychologist who has their own private practice and is able to help others out providing the right information on how to. The minor that I will select to study is sociology. I plan on attending the Great Plains during this school year. During this school year I will also applying to graduate schools. One of my plans during this school year is to have an internship for a clinical psychologist. My senior year I will be finishing up with upper psychology courses. I also plan on attending the Great Plains Convention during my senior year. After completing all the required courses for the Bachelor’s Degree of Psychology my next step will to be to start graduate school at Emporia State University for Clinical Psychology. My short-term goal is to complete my bachelor’s degree. I want to do well in all my undergraduate courses and gain as much knowledge as I can. Another short-term goal is to get a job working with patients. I want to work with patients so that I can begin gaining experience with direct-patient care which is a requirement for PA school. Hi Troy, I am glad you are almost finish with your degree. When I first entered college over 20 years ago I was planning on being a psychology major. But after seeing my English college class seeing how much it took for me to write an essay. I ran to a degree that incorporated my love for math and business. I chose to do Accounting.
A little over two years ago, I started working as a Community Support Individual for Pathways Transition Programs LLC. My primary responsibility is to teach children various coping skills to manage their behavior, I have determined that I want to be able to address the emotions behind the behaviors. My desire is to be able to help the children I work with come to terms with their past histories so they can move on in their lives towards adoption and other positive outcomes. Sometimes, the children are still going through issues such as, on-going traumas, the lost of a parent due to death or incarceration, etc and I would like to develop the skill set to be able to address these issues. I see pursuing my degree through Argosy University as being the next step to take in order to develop a competency in counseling.
Life has its twists and turns, but my overall life goal is simple, help others. I want to make an impact on others life, even if it is a small change. For instance, being able to hold a pencil is the difference between a student being able to graduate from Kindergarten and not be able to continue on to first grade. Being a Pediatric occupational therapist will help me make an impact on children at a very young age. Even small changes can have a large impacts, which is why I want to be that change for others.
As a senior at Little Falls High School, I truly believe my time here has brought me various opportunities to succeed and accomplish goals for not only myself, but my school and community as well. The opportunities given to the body of students at Little Falls stays true to the school 's mission statement: To be educationally affective and academically effective. Personally, all of my high school achievements, activities and future goals have and will continue to represent my experience at Little Falls. The most important thing a school can provide to its students is a quality education. Especially within Little Falls High School the tools that faculty, and even other students ensure provide an environment to which anyone can thrive.

I am majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in General management. In the past I have been involved in peer tutoring and took part in activities with Phi Theta Kappa. I have also volunteered for the Allegany County animal shelter and local volunteer fire companies. I also have had two years of work experience with the Maryland Park Service as a seasonal ranger.

My goal is to become a college counselor. I want to guide students to their career paths, by helping them discover their own talents, self-interests, and limitations. With these tools, students will be able to utilize the resources around them. Also, I plan to give assistance to those students that are considered a minority and are the first generations going to college.
Psychology plays a huge role in changing society and how individuals look at life. I believe this career path can make an impact on lives that are struggling daily, such as I did. With a psychologist 's help, I was able to cope with the negative aspects in my day, and be optimistic towards life, along with providing advice for others who may also be struggling. My ambition is to perform life defining acts with my words and advice, and as a psychologist, I believe this is possible through my ability to listen and be empathetic towards others. My Ideal Self Who/what do you want to achieve/have, why? In the shorter term (3 years), I want to graduate from HELP University’s Degree of Psychology in first-class honours. I understand claims stating such academic achievement is merely a graduation certificate, without guarantee of work opportunities. However, my aim is not motivated towards work opportunities or anything materialistic; I just want to appreciate and value every learning opportunity.
My future goal is to become an Occupational Therapist. They help patients to recover and improve skills needed for daily living and working. I plan to attend either Gannon or St. Francis University to pursue my degree in this field. Both schools offer the five year program which combines a bachelor and master degree. My plan is to pass my knowledge onto the people I care for to better their quality of life.
From time to time, refer to your plan to remind yourself of your aims and to fire your motivation. Written goals will make you feel more serious about and connected to your aims and it will also free you from having to work out every day what your goals are. This will save you time which you can then use on fulfilling your self-improvement
When I graduate high school, I plan on having future goals that I plan on achieving. My first goal is to go to college and get a degree. I plan on attending Purdue NorthWest majoring in engineering and minoring in business. This is my number one future goal that I need to accomplish because to be able to have a nice life, I need to go to college to support my future family. My next future goal would be get a starting job to be able to support my future family.
