My proposed system for Westminster’s Student clubs and organizations will make it easier to remember the process to get to it, will save time, effective and satisfactory. I used my results from my research to help me determine the usability specifications and how I should design my system. The process for finding Westminster’s student clubs and organization will be easier for use for a variety of reasons. The current website is connected to so many other webpages that some students get confused. It is also not organized and outdated.
This course featured a variety of ways to express information to students. The techniques that I found very effective were the videos and the conversations on Blackboard. I thought the videos were an effective way to convey information because it is easily accessible, as many students have phones and devices that can access YouTube easily. Additionally, I believe the use of media as a teaching tool can help keep students interested in the topic, as different students can find visual learning more effective. In my experience with online courses, some courses do not require the students to make interactions with their fellow peers.
The positive language I used let my team know that I was willing to work and help. Positive language was also helpful when giving constructive criticism to other students as it encourages rather than demotivates. Following this, I reduced my use of negative language when working within the team as it could have lowered motivation and made them not want to work with me. When listening to my team members I made sure to show active engagement by nodding, this let them know that I was listening and paying attention to what they are saying. Asking both open and closed questions allowed different responses suitable for different situations; open questions allowed for a discussion whereas closed questions encourage definite, concise responses and decisions.
I find it easy to get carried away using this app much like many others I will describe later, but this app especially distracts me from class and homework because it is so easy to use and rather addicting. I don’t think Snapchat improves my life but I don’t think it lessens it either; it is a good way to stay in touch with friends while also updating people on your adventures. One thing I would change about my interaction with this app is my usage, which will be a common theme throughout this project because I simply use media too
Because, nowadays, e-readers are developed enough, her article could play an important role in making e-readers a significant tool for education. Moreover, the author is motivated to write the article as the number of the articles which discuss the impact of e-reader on reading practice of children is low. In addition to choosing the right time, Larson shows credibility in her article because of her experience as an instructor in the field of learning technologies. Furthermore, the case study, which is done by the author, makes the information believable. Also, the author is fair and respectful by not attacking people who read printed books to show the pros of e-reader.
During my time in high school, I would get Bs and Cs, but now at Brookdale, I am getting grades I could only dream of and also enjoy learning athte same time. For example, the ALP was tough at first but during all the journals, the freewrites, and the essays were really were not so bad and they were easier because I paid attention to my professor on writing better and to make my emotions on paper,. To summarize how Brookdale was a good choice for me was I met good people, the courses, less money to spend, has a great hands on learning experience, and getting good grades. For all the new students in the ALP, learn and enjoy being in that program because that program really helped me learn two English courses in one semester so that
One reason why the Internet shouldn 't be Limited is because in the article 9 positive effects of social networking on teens it says," communicating online is simpler than communicating personally virtually chatting with an acquaintance allows teens to learn more about each other thus strengthening the trust between the two parties." This helps boost our self-confidence with other people. Our communication skills become better and it is easier for us to do. This also makes it easier to communicate with others that we do not usually communicate with. It is easier to do group projects if we are not able to meet up outside of school.
Going for help is much better than trying to figure out for myself what i needed to work on. I know by setting a goal for myself and planning has also made me grow as a student. My reading and thinking isn 't much of a problem. But i still have a lot of weaknesses i need to focus on, such has actually trying to read an article or sometimes missing key ideas of what i’ve read. My
That could be harmful for the working relationships of Residence Life and I don't think that the specifics need to be shared. I think that because I work as a student staff member, I have a pretty good understanding when I comes to the language and lingo that the RDs share. So, this makes being overt really easy. It is almost like I have been covertly collecting all of this information
Later on in the class I learned how to make it more interesting and eye catching. As you can see in my Comparative Analysis Essay it has gotten much better. The purpose I my Self-Inventory Essay sounded like this “I 'm good at figuring out the purpose of the writing prompt and using sources but I am not good at structuring and having sentence cohesion” but my Comparative Analysis Essay sounded much better “Something as simple as a parent’s language or financial situation is enough to impact the rest of their kids’ life”, it was more descriptive and smooth. It sounds like something people would want to
Amy Goldwasser claims reading and writing online to be aesthetically and intellectually equivalent to the more traditional methods, in her persuasive essay, “What’s the matter with kids today?”. She is absolutely correct. Reading and writing online volutarily shows the same quantity as previous nonelectronic modes, uses the same thought process and problem solving, and reveals a less of importance for knowledge of fun facts in order to concentrate on analyzation. When compared to generations prior, this next generation is more inclined to write about themselves without pressure from others. They share key moments of their lives and display them over social media.
Since the author has been working with the organization and has written the literature review, it was easier to foresee the challenges the organization might encounter, thus making it easier to write about. Another recommendation for future students would be to choose and organization that one is passionate about, or an organization that the individual is knowledgeable about since one is going to be spending a lot of time researching that very organization. With that said, having a mentor within the organization one chooses to write about can be very beneficial. With all of this in mind stay focused and do not give up on your goal even if at times it seems difficult and unachievable. If the class seems too difficult, lean on your cohort mates and your professor for help and advice, you will find out that you are not alone in this
