Mr. Scherrer has his students read the task/ question alound and then has them restate the task in their own words. Mr. Scherrer is also checking for his students understandingby asking them to raise their thumbs in agreement or disagreement prenting to their understandiing of the problem. Therefore, by Mr. Scherrer using these stratgies he is keeping the arousal in his classroom from being to high.
The characters that S.E Hilton writes about are very well devolved for a short novel like this one, they are also memorable to the readers. Ponyboy Curtis is the main character and the narrator of the book, and he talks a lot about how he feels about various things throughout the novel. He isn 't like the stereotypical guy who bottles up their emotions to seem more like able by the ladies, and actually, a lot of women look for a guy like Ponyboy because he shares how he feels. Johnny Cade is a kid that gets beat up by his family but he is never really angry about it. He has a friendly but paranoid demeanor to his personality, and he is loved by his second 'family ', which is just Greasers.
Sibling relationships are some of the of the toughest and hardest parts of human lives. There could be days of fun and laughter, or they are filled with anger and hate. This is evident in The Scarlet Ibis, a short story by James Hurst. The narrator and his brother, Doodle, seem to have a loving brotherly relationship. However, by the end of the story, the reader is left wondering whether this is an honorable relationship.

He focuses his main concern on the way teens view having intelligence in a negative way. He continues with his own life as an example of hidden intelligence. Graff noticed he was gifted while engaging into a conversation with one of his teammates. Mr.Graff, explains that it is important to teach the reader intellectualism, and by doing that you could possibly bringing the youth into the general studies.

In the beginning of the film Katz shows interviews with various young males where he asks what it means to be a man, and all of them provide an answer referring to strength, such as “powerful,” “intimidating,” “strong,” and of course, “tough.” When asked what a male is called when they fail to live up to these expectations, the young men replied, “wuss,” “fag,” or “sissy.” Katz points out that this just one of numerous methods that society uses to contain young men in this “tough guise” box, using insults to drive them to perform the way they believe a man should. Multiple other places exist where young men learn these behaviors, such as community, school, and in their family; however, Katz argues that one of the most powerful influences is the country’s pervasive media. For example, as movies have progressed, men have grown larger as women grow smaller.

In our progressive world, we are failing to recognize an important issue of sexism. Men are constantly expected to be ‘manly’ and strong, mainly seen in their attitudes and fashion. This strong cultural expectation of men is the core reason behind the bullying of those who don’t conform to gender stereotypes. Acting outside the boundary for males causes ridicule and becomes a taboo. Things considered manly are societal conventions.
The movies I have selected for comparison of male and female stereotypes portrayed are Avengers and Hunger Games. Using the selected films will use them to elaborate how stereotypes are still evident up to date. In addition to that a comparison will be made on men a women stereotypes previously and currently. This will be done to evaluate how far we have come and how many changes have taken place since. Lastly on the conclusion will identify whether the stereotypes have changed or new strategies should apply for the future of film.
