Many people in this world are influential. Good or bad their words are shared across everywhere they wish. However, there is a man I believe is the most inspirational person in my life. The man in question? Gene Wilder. Gene Wilder made me see how precious life really is and how short our lives are on this small planet. Gene Wilder once said,“Time is a precious thing, never waste it.” Now, I know this is a pretty dim quote, but Gene wilder just wanted us to know how our days on this planet are limited, and that we should live our lives to the fullest. Gene Wilder has also said,”A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.” Obviously, he wanted to tell us that even when we grow up and become adults that we should not completely give up on having fun or being wild. Lastly, Gene Wilder said,”It 's only with the heart that one can see clearly. What …show more content…
What 's essential, is invisible to the eye.” This means that what you just see with your eyes is not as essential to you as that of the people and activities you love to do in life and that you should live your life by what your heart wants you to
One of the most important qualities The Blind Side contains
The most important phrase here is “happiness” or else the quote is just a meaningless empty quote. After reading the novel (more than once if I might add) I believe that the quote is trying to say, you should never look
Jackie robinson showed people to go for what you love even if others do not think you can do it and he shows that even if it gets hard to not give up. He went from the first African-American to play baseball to the first baseball player to break the color barrier, i know this because the text states, “The first baseball player to break the color barrier in 60 years, he paved the way for many future African-American and minority athletes.” ( Jessica McBirney , 2017 ) . This shows that because he did not give up he made it this far. Harriet Tubman helped many people by escaping the camp but going back for the other slaves.
Within modern day society, there are many people who have eyesight cannot “see.” This sad truth is reflected within the husband who cannot connect with his wife because he displays a lack of insight. As the protagonist of the short story Cathedral, the husband had to undergo a certain change within the story in order to connect with his wife, who actually tends to be the antagonist. Through the usage of the husband’s language, behavior, and interaction with other characters–the author, Raymond Carver proves that it is possible to “see” once one accepts change.

An individual who has had a significant impact in my life would be Maribeth Holland. Maribeth Holland has been in inspiration to me for quite a bit of time. I would put her in the category of being my mentor, although her official title to me would be my teacher. Holland has been an inspiration to me throughout my Junior and Senior years of high school at Fountain Central. She has helped me to become a better student.
Annie Dillard’s essay “Sight into Insight” emphasizes how one must live in the moment and not sway towards others opinions in order to gain accurate observations on a situation. She uses nature as a prominent theme in her essay to represent the thought of looking past the superficial obvious in order to go deeper to where the hidden beauty rests. Dillard wants the reader to realize in order to observe clearly you have to live in the moment and let go of the knowledge you think you know on the situation. Dillard uses the example of her “walking with a camera vs walking without one” (para.31) and how her own observations differed with each. When she walked with the camera she “read the light” (para.31), and when she didn’t “light printed” (para.31).

One person that I admire is Sandra Lee she came from a very humble home and because her unstable status of life she was able to find her passion. My paper is going to give some background on her upbringing and how to become a household name. How she was able to reach the American dream through her passion. Sandra is an inspiration to so

The narrator begins to change as Robert taught him to see beyond the surface of looking. The narrator feels enlightened and opens up to a new world of vision and imagination. This brief experience has a long lasting effect on the narrator. Being able to shut out everything around us allows an individual the ability to become focused on their relationships, intrapersonal well-being, and
Ralph Ellison conveys this message in many forms in the novel. It is possible that the eyes of the narrator did not see the world for what it truly is, but his credibility for telling the story only ties into the metaphor for blindness. This prompts a final thought; can an individual truly understand the struggle of another? Can our identity bar us from opening our eyes to the struggles that may be around
Wes Anderson is a very well-known and established director in his field. Over the years, Anderson has developed a unique style of film and a basic formula for how each film will look in the end. The film The Grand Budapest Hotel showcases a lot of Anderson quirks from the vibrant colors to the tiny miniatures that he used to show the landscape. The Grand Budapest Hotel is uniquely Wes Andersons and really showcases his style.
