Genting Group or named Genting Berhad (MYX:3182) is a Malaysian group, and it consists of four listed company that is Genting Malaysia Berhad(MYX:4715), Genting Plantations Berhad (MYX:2291), Genting Singapore PLC(SGX:G13) and the last Genting Hong Kong Limited (HKEX:678). Genting Group was founded by Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong in 1965and now it is headed by his second son, Tan Sri Lim KokThay, the chairman and Chief Executive, who joined this group in year 1976. They are full of experience in developing, operating and marketing casinos and integrated resorts in the whole world, such as America, Australia, Philippine, United Kingdom, Singapore and Malaysia. It is a Malaysia’s leading group and one of the best multinationals company in Asia. Besides of casinos, the other attractions of the Genting Group is theme park, that is Genting Highlands, that consist of concert shows, food & beverage and retail shopping. Genting Group has expended and diversified into different sector, such asplantations, power generation, oil & gas, properties, e-commerce, information technology and biotechnology. With the innovation of Tan Sri Lim KokThay, Genting Group has successfully founded Star Cruises, the third largest cruise liner company in the world and largest cruise liner company in Asia.
