Eastman, Rockefeller, and Carnegie are Captains of Industry. They are Captains of Industry because they donated their money to help children. George Eastman supported dental clinics for children who couldn 't afford treatment so their teeth are more white and they will take more pictures and use his camera. Andrew Carnegie donated more than $350 million to help build over 2,500 libraries and used his steel to make them. Also, John D. Rockefeller Founded the General Education Board in 1903 and established high South by providing free professional advice.
Many of my friends are studying different courses such as; Physician Assistant, Pharmacy, and Nursing. They all want to achieve their goals and dreams. They also claim that “As Figure 4 shows, the proportion of men and women ages 20 to 25 who attended college jumped by about half over the past poor ears, tracking the rise in the wage premium. When returns fell in the 1970s, the fraction going on to college declined. The rise in returns since 1980 has been accompanied by a significant rise
Jackie started a foundation called “The Jackie Robinson Foundation” to help members, “JRF is providing more than $1.4 million in scholarship support to 251 Jackie Robinson scholars”(Business Wire 2). Jackie wanted to give kids great educational opportunities so that they can go out and be successful. Jackie really wanted these kids to have the top of the line educations, “... Jackie Robinson scholars attend some of the most prestigious colleges and universities in the United states”(Business Wire 2). Jackie gave these kids such good opportunities because he believed that these kids could make a difference in the world when they would grow up.
With almost 15 years of experience of working in an acute hospital has been rewarding for me and the benefit of showing empathy has further reinforced my desire to pursue a registered nurse degree . My love for children that are helpless and unable to take care of themselves especially during illness , has further stimulated my desire for becoming a registered nurse . The premature birth to my daughter , coupled with my work experience caring for the sick and needy people have solidified my desire to peruse a career in Registered Nursing even more . My clinical exposure has also allowed me to mature as a person . Even though working with the sick can be challenging at times , it is infinitely gratifying .
Morse affected the world in a great way by revolutionizing long-distance communication. Morse’s accomplishments were recognized by many because of how useful the electric telegraph was and how it had social and economic impacts. Without the electric telegraph the world would be worse because as time went on the electric telegraph was improved upon, allowing messages to be transmitted across continents and oceans almost instantly. This really helped improve communications between countries and nations, as well as being able to instantly send a telegraphic message to
Carnegie is widely known for his monopolization of the iron and steel industry. He developed many companies to support the steel need in developing the United States. He predicted, that after the Civil War, iron and steel would become an important part of American life. He decided that this would be a good idea to invest in developing the industry, and this decision has paid off enormously. He worked to modernize the United States through the building of bridges, railways and other crucial roads, which in turn, brought the country together.
Doctors performing the surgeries could receive Rockefeller grants, which encouraged them to report positive results in order to ensure the grants would be renewed (Whitaker, 2002). The lobotomy was also financially beneficial to states. Housing mental patients in state hospitals was extremely expensive (Whitaker, 2002). By having their patients undergo the lobotomy, which may only cost a few hundred dollars, the state hospitals could send them home and save hundreds of thousands of dollars in the long run (Whitaker, 2002). Money is a powerful factor that can greatly influence people.
The Virginia Company was assigned land in the New World by the king of England. They had high hopes of making a lot of money by growing and making things in their colony that they could ship back to England for a profit. To do this, they needed a labor force. The Virginia Company advertised for colonists.

Healthcare is important to the society because people get ill, accidents and emergencies do arise and the hospitals are needed to diagnose, treat and manage different types of ailments and diseases. Many of people’s aspirations and desires cannot be met without longer, healthier, happy lives. The healthcare industry is divided into several areas in order to meet the health needs of individuals and the population at large. All over the world, the healthcare industry would continue to thrive and grow as long as man exists hence forming an enormous part of any country’s
In “Is College Worth It? Clearly, New Data Says,” David Leonhardt claims that because a four year degree benefits individuals both professionally and economically it is more than worth the investment. Throughout the entirety of Leonhardt’s article, he claims that education is the answer to all financial problems because it provides many financial benefits. He emphasizes that going to college is the path to living a bourgeois life because students will earn more money in the long run.
Peter the Great did a lot to help Russia become a great power. It took him his whole 40 years to do this for Russia. The main goal for Peter in order to make Russia a great power was to westernize it. He thought if you modernize the country then the country would be strong. Peter wanted to have a capital near the water so the navy would be strong and it would be easier for trade.
As you must know, the Dakota Pipeline has been a residing issue for a while now. I believe that we should continue the production of this pipeline. Building this pipeline will benefit our country in multiple ways. For example, by building the Dakota Pipeline, 8,000 to 12,000 jobs will be created.
We made huge gains in military technology for poison gas, machine guns, and submarines. We also had a huge boost to the American economy. Production and work opportunities to help the war effort got people working. We also continued to make money with helping to rebuild Europe after the war.
In the society we live in today, doctors are paid an exponential amount of money and for good reason as they help us live a healthier life. My question is why are teachers, who are responsible for helping students, paid under the average salary of most Americans. The average income for Americans is roughly 81,400 dollars, then there is the average income for High school teachers at 56,350 dollars. When the pay is raised it’ll get teachers more interested in doing the best they can do to give their students a good education. Then higher pay attracts teachers who have better experience, education and credentials which also increases the quality of the education.
