The eye in my drawing symbolizes the constant watch and control by the totalitarian government in “Nineteen Eighty- Four” using the Telescreen and the Thought Police. Looking at the center of the eye, you will observe that it monitors all the activities of an individual even when an individual is eating in his home, which proves that the people of Oceania lacks privacy throughout “1984” as all their daily activities are being monitored and controlled because of the constant surveillance. The eye also shows that the Party watches all the people of Oceania at once regardless of where the individual maybe, by examing the middle of the eye.
