Throughout history there has been many great presidents, two of those being George Washington and Franklin D. Roosevelt. During each of their presidencies they accomplish many great feats that help shape our great country to what it is today. Each of these presidents has their similarities and differences in office with some of those being domestic and foreign affairs and the extent in which the administration resolves it. Washington was the first president of our country and did not affiliate with a party. He served two four year terms.

He knew that the country was too weak to fight in wars, so he avoided conflict by maintaining neutrality in a war involving France and Britain. Although some did not support his decision, he knew that the country did not have enough strength to survive a loss in a war. It proved to be the right decision.

Washington could have had absolute power over the people of the United States, instead he helped established the rules and laws to ensure it will be a free country. He had great communication skills considering he was a founding father and worked well with many other people. He put his heart and soul into this country always, he had intentions to make this country the best.
