George Washington's Beliefs

Erik was kept talking about how there are a lot of hardships in his life, but he overcomes them and that we should do the same thing. He wants us to find the positives out of life and exceed to our goals in life. In his lifetime there were many people who said to him that he cant or wont be able to do something, but that didn't tear him down. Instead he used that as fuel to motivate him to do a certain thing. That inspired me, because he went through so much yet he still accomplished many things.

He battles inhumane enemies for all that is good. In today 's world, we suffer similar problems in our society. We face the war on terrorism. Everyday, the threats only grow larger as time goes on and the world 's leaders fight to bring peace to Earth. Beowulf 's theme of good vs. evil comes into play in today 's world because of the war on terrorism.

In all, this results in a powerful and eloquent lecture . His men gather around, cheer, and choose to fight. They do not have a feeling of loss and defeat after Henry gives them his powerful speech. “From this day to the ending of the world, but we in it shall be remembered.” Henry states that by fighting in this battle and achieving victory, they will be remembered by the conquest of the battle.

Throughout the novel, we see characters like this always present; without them, prosperity and greatness would never be achievable due to pernicious forces like William Hamleigh or Bishop Waleran reigning down on the innocent. The theme that hero archetypes are always necessary in order for society to function properly, is constantly developed in The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett, and can be demonstrated through the actions of both Jack and Richard. Throughout the novel, Jack Jackson continuously performs actions that improve society. The heroic actions performed by Jack commence at a very young age.

In Ernst Jünger’s book, Storm of Steel¸ this passage captured his attitude about war: confusion caused by inexperience. This confusion surrounding war comes from the fact that he is an experienced soldier. He and his fellow inexperienced soldiers had shown up to fight with a yearning “for the experience of the extraordinary” and on their first day of the war, they got that experience (Jünger, p. 5). George Washington was America’s most essential man. He experienced the loss of his father at a young age, yet he became a successful plantation owner, a major in the Virginia militia, a politician, a general and the first president of the United States of America. Though he experienced many adversities in life he was able to take these experiences and use them to better a country. George Washington created a new government for the United Sates of America in his own image which was moral, fair and responsible because of his own life experiences as a general, politician and entrepreneur. In contemporary culture, famous figures such as politicians and celebrities usually don't deserve emulation. Often, they are corrupt, dishonest or haughty, but they are still worshiped as a hero. The true definition and description of a hero, according to World Book Dictionary, is an individual admired for his/her bravery, great deeds, or noble qualities. A hero is a person respected for his/her contribution to a particular field or cause. Throughout history, many people have exhibited these qualities.

George Washington was a very wise and smart man. he is most commonly seen as the father of the united states. with his thoughts and beliefs of creating a nation that does not have a political party and that believes in the freedom of others. In today's standards, however, If George Washington was able to see the American nation we have become he would be mortified.
