As the director for the following movies, "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" and "Mr. Deeds Goes to Town", Frank Capra created and interpreted his own understanding of the American Hero. He describes the hero as an individual that is completely connected to his community and in the same manner the community trusts in him and cares about him as an individual. Also, the messages of these movies firmly resonate with the biblical and American values and principles. The first movie that I watched is "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" that shows the story of a young politician, Jefferson Smith, who is chosen by the state's Governor, Hubert Hooper to go to Washington to replace a Senator who has just died.
Moreover, there is another huge example of someone who really defined the American Dream. This person is hopefully known by us all since he did a lot of good for everyone. There was a kid around 13 or 14 who had a dream. He wasn’t born exactly in the United States, but rather on US soil still considered America. He had a dream that one day he’d help everyone.
A political figure is someone who has made an impact on our country in a way that no other political figure has. Each political figure is unique in their own way. That may include ending a war, starting a war, influencing the people of our country or just leaving their mark in the political world. Aaron Burr is one of our former political figures of this country. Aaron Burr definitely impacted this country in his own way.
George Washington contributed the most to the United States Of America because he was the first president and he set many of precedents for the future presidents of the USA. Also he has passed many important documents like the proclamation of neutrality and the whiskey rebellion proclamation. Some of his exceedingly important domestic affairs were the whiskey rebellion and what he did to combat that was he sent in the militia. Then there was a sizable protest/riot and he wrote the whiskey rebellion proclamation, which was his justification for calling in the militia, and furthermore his proclamation stated for all the citizens to return to their peaceful abode
If I had to pick who was my favorite historical figure or the one that made the greatest contributions to society during the Age of Revolution, my choice would be John Adams. Adams’ writings fought for the rights of American colonists. He was viewed as one of America 's important constitutional scholars. No other man worked as hard or played as important as role in the movement for independence. One of the ways John Adams contributed to the American Revolution was by serving in both the First and the Second Continental Congresses.

American culture, one of the most diverse and unique cultures in the world. Unlike other countries, who may have been building their culture and government for so long and kept it that way for centuries, Americans are always welcoming in different ideas and adding it to their culture. Two of the biggest contributors within American culture and government is the English, who settled many colonies all throughout the United States. The other contrubitor was Native Americans, who were here before any of the others. Both built from ancient civilizations, and were a complete concrete foundation for many of the things Americans do today.
Conscription in America has a long and varied history which can be traced back to the colonial militia. Throughout this history, conscription or more commonly known as “the draft” has been used as a means to fill the ranks of military forces without much consideration for any negative consequences. Despite many of the negative perceptions, I do believe it has served as a useful and effective tool in past conflicts. Having served my entire adult life in an all-volunteer military, I believe this type of military force is better equipped to fight our future wars. With all things considered and the absence of another World War, I believe the practice of conscription will remain solely in our history books.
“Winston Churchill’s life is one of the best documented in the 1900’s,”(Johnson,167). In World War Two, the British people needed a leader, and Churchill was there to help. From Winston Churchill determination many books were written about him and all of his successes.

In my eighth grade opinion George Washington was one of America 's greatest leaders of all time. He was first introduced to the public eye when we fought in the Revolutionary war. He fought off them off in a huge bloody battle that matched the British’s coats. He was a stern man and he wouldn’t abandon his men for anything. He used his very intelligent brains to strategically plan his crossing of the Delaware.

George Washington had a very rough but successful childhood.
In the sea of names listed in American history, the name of George Washington will always be remembered as one of the brightest, if not the brightest, of them all. The fact that this man was the first president of the United States of America has very little to do with this; it is his personality that made him stand out. George Washington was more than just a politician – he is a national pride; a loyal man who’d shaped one of the greatest nation in this world, the United States of America. America wouldn’t be what it is today without him.
