The colonists felt that the proclamation was a limit to their power and authority in the colonies. In protest, the colonists took to the westward trails, clogging pathways and moving out west. More significant than the immediate effects of the Proclamation of 1763 was what the Proclamation signified. It was the initial sign that England was starting to take an interest in the American colonies again, marking the end of salutary neglect. With this legislation, several decades of virtual independence in the colonies was over and the British began to assert their authority over their colonies.
The revolutionary war “The revolution began previous to the war. The revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments of their duties and obligations. This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people was the real revolution”- John Adams The American Revolutionary War, also known as the American War of independence, was the armed conflict between the united kingdom and thirteen of its American colonies, which had deemed themselves the independent United States of America. Would there be an America if people were not able to persuade others? During a time when America is in a war against the British fighting for its independence and had lost every battle except for one during the first year of the war, fearing that the idea of America may fail. Thomas Paine then publishes a pamphlet called The Crisis, No. 1. Regarding this, pathos was the most persuasive technique used to persuade Americans to continue on with the war in Thomas Paine’s The Crisis, No.

The period from 1815 to 1825 is commonly referred to as the “Era of Good Feelings”. Following the collapse of the Federalist political party the Republicans ran unopposed and attempted to reach agreements with previous Federalist dominated states granting the period this title. The Republican Party factionalized as a result of no opposition resulting in sectionalism, which led to various political and economic issues. This period being called, “The Era of Good Feelings,” is an incorrect title because of the widespread panic prevalent in the United States during this time. Document A, which is a letter from John Randolph to Congress, clearing expresses concerns about sectionalism.

In “Quilt of a Country” by Anna Quindlen and “The Immigrant Contribution” by John F. Kennedy, the writers use sophisticated, formal, and ordinary word choice. “Quilt of a Country” talked about how the country has changed throughout the years since 9/11 has happened, and “Immigrant Contribution” talked about how immigrants came to America for a chance of freedom and more opportunities for them and their families. First, “One of the things that it stands for is this vexing notion that a great nation can consist entirely of refugees…. either side of the country’s Chester Avenues”. The word “vexing” is a sophisticated type of word choice because not every person uses it in normal sentences unless they are talking very formal to someone else.

The American Revolution was a war that broke out from 1775-1783 between Great Britain and the 13 colonies, which was under British rule at the time. Overall the conflict between the colonies and Great Britain grew with time and ended up being a ticking time bomb. The outcome, however, was in their favor and led to the independence of the 13 colonies and gave them the opportunity to become what is known now as the United States of America. Fighting broke out on April 19, 1775 at Lexington and Concord.
Dear Friends George Washington was leader in charge of the Continental Army throughout the American Revolutionary conflict. That was the exact situation The United States was in with England, The United States a newly formed coalition is now confronted with the Goliath like beast that is England. The United States had been taxed and tariffed on imports, which were a common good during the time, and although minimal taxing, the colonial citizens believed their freedoms and
This set begins in the year 1932 with the Bonus Army marching on Washington D.C. The prologue begins as ‘’Rock Bottom” because the year 1932 was “rock bottom” year of the Great Depression for the United Stated of America.
