My time during the Middle School has been very influential to me. During it I have been able to find the things that I enjoy the most and have the most success at. The primary examples of these are; maths, science, and basketball. By realising this I have positioned myself well for the senior school as I am learning as much as I can in the areas that I enjoy. I feel that through this I was able to be very proactive in taking responsibility for my learning in an enjoyable way – this is my greatest achievement for the Middle School.
I have always pushed myself to achieve academic excellence and enjoy the challenge of taking the high school level math and spanish classes that my school offers. I believe that hard work is an essential factor of successful person. In conclusion, I am honored to be considered and would love to be a participant of the National Junior Honors Society. My desire to serve, be a part of a team, and to learn throughout this process would make me an ideal candidate for this
“Our community could use a little more love, kindness, and respect, which are the values that respect club contends,” Greer continued, “With influential figures like Kirby and James leading the new club, Florence is on its way to supporting a culture of coexistence.” Zach Henderson shares this point of view explaining, “I joined because I would like to help make a difference in how people treat one another and help people learn to be thoughtful.” Respect Club promotes the belief that proactive and preventative efforts in school communities can create a tolerant climate free of harassment. I want to be part of the National Honors Society because I want to be part of a group of intelligent young adults that take pride in the service and leadership roles that I also am very proud of. Additionally, I have worked really hard to maintain my academic standings with my extremely busy schedule, and it would be really nice to be recognized for it. At the same time, it would be really nice to be recognized not only for my academic achievement but for what I have done in my community. I believe that if I was part of National Honors Society, it would promote me to work really hard inside and outside of school. I believe that being in a society such as this, it will motivate me to continue to do service projects outside of school and give
Bridger Haffey Narrative for US101 Throughout the course of this class I have come to realize that involvement and participation is essential to my success in this course. Not only is participation a large amount of my grade, but it is also a means to understanding the material that we discuss in class. Personally, I learn best when I ask questions and get involved in finding connections between themes and ideas. This is not only true for discussion, but also for classes like calculus where it is very easy to fall behind unless I am fully engaged. I think it is very important to go about discussion with an open mindset, always looking for different arguments, and always thinking about how the topic applies to me at that moment in time.
It is an honor to be chosen to apply for the Columbus Chapter of National Honor Society. National Honor Society has always been something I have strived to be apart of. After reading the the criteria for this honor I feel that I have demonstrated the qualities associated with this organization. I feel that I am deserving of this honor because I truly strive to be the best student I can be in school. I work hard in school and always an prepared when it comes to a quiz or a test.
Academic achievement has always come naturally for me, however, I understand the importance of good study habits and have implemented them in my weaker subjects, such as anatomy and physiology and psychology. By using what I learned throughout my time in Upward Bound about good study habits, I will be able to earn an adequate grade in my Bridge classes. Taking good notes and organizing them properly is the first and most crucial step to achieving a good grade in a difficult class. I surely knew this before entering the program in ninth grade, but the importance of this struck me during an Upward Bound workshop in my early years of the program, where we were shown examples of good notes in every subject. These examples were concise, easy to
I find it an incredible advantage to work on a research in an international environment; it would further improve my communication skills, which I consider an important aspect of science that is unfortunately often overlooked causing unnecessary complications. I am positive that I would find great inspiration in other students participating in the program, who are without a doubt going to be very goal oriented overachievers as well as interesting
By enrolling in some of the most difficult classes at my school, my work ethic and persistence has grown. I have also developed a strong desire to meet the challenges in my life, which will prepare me for the many new challenges later on. With this in mind, I feel that the MCC Honors Diploma would benefit my academic and professional future by demonstrating my capabilities to other schools, and it would also be an amazing reward for my activities and work here at
With both of my field placements I have learned and experienced I have a great knowledge of the social worker field, and working with wide ranges of different clients. Honestly, I believe I really gained some of the best knowledge in social worker with both of my field placements. While either field placements can be challenging, I would encourage everyone to at least work or intern at one of the two placed I did. I feel I am able to take what I learn from class, and apply it to my clients. I also just find going to the Davis Child Shelter overall enjoyable field placement to be
