Girl Scout Cookies For nearly a hundred years, girl scouts have been selling cookies as a way to fund their projects and ventures. This all started in 1917 when the Mistletoe Troop baked cookies and sold them in their school cafeteria as a service project (girlscouts.org). Since then, the tradition of selling these delicious cookies has continued as well as the addition of several other flavors.
