Girls looks and feminism shouldn’t be the reason why girls aren’t allowed on a boy’s sports team. Girls should be allowed to play on boy’s sports teams because girls could be as strong as boys, girls should be treated as fair as the boys, and girls are capable of playing rough sports. Many underestimate girls strength which then results into a division in sports with boys and girls. Girls could be just as strong as boys. Sports such as football where you tackle is considered a “boys” sport because of how strong the player needs to be able to tackle someone.
For example, sweatpants are not against dress code but they don’t show professionalism. They are also just students and should be able to live the child life as long as they can. These reasons are why dress codes should be banned. There should be no school dress code because it limits the freedom of expression, targets girls, and they are hard to enforce. Girls should not have to follow extra rules because boys can't control themselves around girls.
I never would have thought that there are boundaries when it comes to masculinity and femininity. I now understand why females do not play football and I also understand why males do not dance or do any feminine sport. The girl who joined the football team stepped out her feminine boundaries and tried to join in on the masculinity. The PE class was an example of how boys and girls act, meaning that boys want to be masculine and do masculine things, while females want to be feminine and do feminine things. I agree with Jones, Murrell, and Jackson’s (1999) three categories classifications for male, female, and neutral sports because it easily helps me identify the appropriate sport for each gender.
Lizzy Benne Mrs.Ragusky 6th hour People think cheerleading isn't a sport, and girls and guys are just jumping around and screaming. There's more than that. There is tumbling, stunts, chants, and dances. Cheerleading takes time, training, and practice. People don't think cheerleading is a sport because it does not use a ball and it is too easy to even be considered.
I support this proposal. Girls should be allowed to play on boys’ sport teams when there isn’t a girls’ team for that sport to play on. As more girls look for athletic opportunities where they are able to play both fairly and successfully, they are subjected to sports teams composed of only boys. While some parents or coaches are against girls on boys’ sports teams, many others support these actions. However so, girls should be allowed to play on boys’ sports teams.
Perhaps Fitzgerald is saying that as long as we follow a patriarchal system that encourages docility in women, we as men would never live as meaningful a life as we can. So, we need to move past the idea that women are inferior sexual objects. We need to notice changing social dynamics and accept that women are just as equal as men. They say behind every great man is a great woman. This, however, is wrong.
Girls Tackling Down Football Girls playing tackle football with guys might be fun at times, but most of the time they aren’t allowed to play with the guys. It isn’t really fair because if guys can be allowed to dance and to do ballet with girls, then girls should be allowed to play tackle football with guys. Most people think it is because of the fact that girls might have health issues while playing the sport with guys. Even though Girls health issues with playing tackle football with guys, girls should be allowed to play tackle football with guys because Girls can be as good if not better at playing tackle football and Girls can do anything guys can do physically. For most of the part, people think that the girls can’t do what the guys do because they will get hurt trying to play with them.
The men, I guarantee, would be happy to assist in fundraisers to get the women better jerseys and facilities, if it in fact means they get to keep their team. An entire change of culture is what is needed. Women don’t want men’s teams to be cut, even most of those in favor of Title 9 do not want to cut teams but see it as the only option. What we all have to do is encourage more participation in female sports, we need to get that ratio up without it coming at the cost of someone else, whether it is encouraging more walk ons try out for the women, or from here on out making it much more difficult to receive scholarships for men sports, therefore shrinking the team down in years to come it needs to happen. We are all a part of UNEU and together I think we can look past gender and make this right in a manner where nobody
Gender Inequality in sports is an issue as old as sport itself. I choose this topic because we as a society seem to sweep it under the rug time after time. Women in sports however, try to address the issue only to have it go on deaf ears, leaving them to continue in the sport hoping something will change. Over the last few decades, strides have been made, but he sport remains an institution dominated by men. These women, whether they are in sport or in the business world, want a fair chance to be on the same level as their male counterparts.
Many people believe cheerleading is not a sport; they claim that cheerleading does not follow all the requirements to be a sport. People most often say that cheerleading does not require strategy like other sports. (Darnell) Many of those people don’t understand that cheer requires coaches, and players, to have the ability to set up a routine from scratch. Making a routine from nothing and getting 20-30 girls to do it-correctly, in sync-requires way more strategy and planning than just throwing a football down a field. Another thing people argue is that cheerleaders do not compete against another team or opponent.
More indirectly, it concerns the parts of social life where women are discriminated against or disadvantaged for simply being a woman. These situations are unjust because discrimination of human persons undermines their dignity and comes out of sin. Additionally, whenever a man is responsible for offending a woman’s personal dignity he acts contrary to his own personal dignity because by failing to acknowledge the dignity of another human being, he also fails to acknowledge their creation in the image and likeness of God. Each human person derives their dignity from their creation in God’s likeness and image. Injurious and unjust situations are evidently wrong because they undermine this dignity.
There is no halftime for competitive cheerleaders. Although, many Americans do not believe that cheerleading should be considered a sport, AMA members states that “cheerleading is as rigorous as many other activities that high schools and the NCAA consider sports. Adding it to the list would mean more safety measures for cheerleaders and proper training for their coaches.” Many people fail to distinguish the difference between school and competitive cheerleading. School cheerleaders are mainly targeted for getting the crowd involved with team cheers, and most importantly, pushing the sport they are cheering for, to a victory, which would not be considered as a sport. But as for competitive cheerleading, it should be considered as a sport.
Girls should be aloud to play in boys sports team Most importantly because we are all equal. Secondly because we can all be friends. In addition it 's to be fair. In this essay the evidence will clearly show why girls should be aloud on boys sports teams. Most importantly because I think they should cause we are all equal.
Yes if a kid just sits there they will not pass, but even if the kid shows effort or improvement they will probably pass the class, and just like sports most kids will try during the game, which will earn them trophy. Other problem with this side of the debate is it believes participation trophies will not push the young athletes to become better, but the truth is the contrary of that belief, the truth is the trophies will cause kids to become better. As children see everyone is receiving the same treatment, they will desire to push kids to push further in the game, so they will be able to receive more awards for their efforts. Another flaw in the idea of not handing out participation trophies is kids will feel that they are not good at the sport causing them to quit,
Is sport related inequality because female athletes don’t have what it takes to make it in sports? “‘At the end of the day, we expect to be treated equally as our male counterparts;...”’ (www.takepart.com, The Players Tribune). Women’s athletics haven’t been treated well since women had a say in what they wanted to do. All men’s and women’s sports should be equally important, equally safe in protective gear, and most importantly should be equally fun and satisfying. Women athletics should be treated with more respect than what they are getting.
